Then, remember when the PS2 came out, and just after a few days of playing it, the PS1 games were impossible to look at anymore? It was as if these amazing, beautiful games were suddenly switched to hideous, low-polygon-count monstrosities overnight. How could our brains perceive it so differently, so quickly?
I didn't think it could happen again. The PS2 graphics were pretty good. Even when I saw PS3 demos, I thought it was just a minor upgrade compared to the massive upgrade offered coming from the PS1.
But yet...
After playing the PS3 for a week, I went back to play a PS2 game. And it had changed miraculously, just like it had with the PS1. Somehow, graphics I considered stellar had gone to plain ugly in just a week. And nothing I could do would change that in my brain.

ABYSS.
ABYSS.
