I would disagree with that. Rafe was the one who was using Stephenie as his goat throughout most of the season. I didn't see any intention on Judd, Lydia or Cindy's part to use her as a goat to get to the end. Judd had obvious intentions to go to F2 with Stephenie, a F2 where he would probably lose. Lydia and Cindy came off as huge Stephenie fans that would do anything she asked, and Lydia stayed loyal to her throughout the game even after that big blow up over the food situation and after Stephenie refused to share money with her at the auction so Lydia could see her brother. Stephenie kept Danni around when she should have voted her out. Stephenie voted out her most loyal ally for no reason whatsoever (Judd). Stephenie moronically voted out Cindy and Lydia when both times she could have voted for Danni. Thats not being bitter if you ask me. Thats Stephenie playing horribly, backstabbing those people for no reason while Danni got off unscathed, and eventually paying the price. You also conveniently forget that Stephenie horrifically botched multiple jury questions including Cindy and Lydia's. And that Gary & BJ were very loyal to Danni regardless of who was sitting next to her and Jamie never liked her. Stephenie lost because she played a horrible game and Danni played a terrific one. Its as simple as that. The most bitter jury member? Rafe, who voted for Stephenie.

There are other examples throughout the seasons, jurors voting for a certain person based on nothing but bitterness and spite. That's stupid. The game is complex enough that you cannot make a move without offending someone, and if a juror thinks that you can go through the game with certain behavoirs designed not to be offensive, they're wrong. Some people have no choice but to backstab. I was recently in an online game where you could say I was backstabbed. I was bitter as hell, and was visibly so, but under no circumstances did I ever vote emotionally. I recognized that the "power" always is concentrated in someone, and regulating people by certain standards concentrates the power in an elite group, thus making it impossible for certain people to win. My "anything goes" policy makes it more fair, in my opinion. Voting based on certain principals is allowable, but the self righteousness and lack of clarity on some jurors that these backstabbers had to backstab by necessity pisses me off.

Will, I've discussed this matter with Ravu before and I'll say it to you too. You cannot reasonbly compare real life survivor to an pretend game on the internet. In fact I'm quite surprised you'd say something like this, aren't you a veteran at ORGs? You at least have more experience than me. I'll repost what I told Ravu, I think it somewhat applies here too. We're not talking about winning, but rather jury voting, but I think the core points still apply.

Ravu, when it comes to playing the game emotionally, ORGs versus the real thing are completely uncomparable. For starters, playing at home sitting at your computer certainly puts you in a completely different mindset than being out in the wilderness either freezing your ass off or being insanely hot, all while starving, having bugs bothering you, worrying about wild animals, etc... Do you honestly think that you can compare the state of mind of someone in that situation versus sitting at your computer? How about the fact that when these people are out there, the people around them and the game are all they are thinking about, while you get to live your normal life most of the day and play a character for an hour or two in the evening? Plus, in the real thing, there's a million dollars and true notoriaty at state. In ORGs people applaud you for a few minutes for winning the game, then your win is mostly forgotten and you win absolutely nothing. You've got to admit that your mindset is probably going to be a little different when you're actually playing for something important like a million dollars. Likewise people voting against you, or having the option to vote for you as a jury member certainly are going to be completely different because they may have lost their shot at a million in part because of you (which is why we've seen so many 'bitter' people over the years) So, as panurge already put it, winning an ORG is completely IRRELEVENT. Jeez, as one whose only played an ORG three times, none of them Survivor, I understand this fine, I figure a person like yourself who is supposed to be such an 'elite' player would understand something as simple as that. They're fun to play, but in the overall scheme of things they mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
