Now do you see why I picked the Giants in the suicide pool?

But Jim Zorn is such a good guy; he deserves to win.

Won't this be the Giants first win at home in more than a year and a half?

Giants pretty much dominated the game in the first half, but didn't play well enough on offense to turn all those yards into touchdowns. They should have
gone into the half with a bigger lead.
Luckily, the Skins' offense is still uninspired, and 16 points was plenty. |

THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS ARE THE WORST TEAM IN FOOTBALL AND THE NEW YORK GIANTS ARE THE BEST TEAM IN FOOTBALL yw |

WTF happened with Kiwinuka? Is he OK? He went down in the very last play. Game ends. They do a slow mo of some fucker landing on his leg, he's on the
ground and then Convention.
News? Anyone? Eli would have thrown more than 1 pick had the Redskins secondary not sucked prefusely. Manning is definitely more calm out there under pressue but his actual throws down the field? He had way too many shitty ones that were out there in the open to be caught at least 4 times. Red Zone Producticity was suckitude. |

The only concern for the Giants was that defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka went down with an ankle injury on the final play, but he said after the game that he
was OK.

I'd be concerned that David Carr is the back-up qb.

It was quite a pleasant evening for the defending SB champs.
The SB banner was raised, GIants D was terrific, Jacobs ran over a few defenders, Plex was his usual dominating self, and the Giants defeated a division rival at home. It amazes me that Plex hardly practices throughout an entire training camp and he comes out and has a huge performance. The guy doesn't miss a beat. I'm so happy the Giants gave him a new contract. Well deserved. As for Eli, he threw the ball well early but forced some throws in the second half and had an average performance overall. He didn't need to play great since the Giants controlled the game and won pretty comfortably. Considering the G-Men play at St. Louis followed by home games against Cincinnati and Seattle at home, they should be 3-1 minimum heading into the MNF game against Cleveland. btw- I don't think the Redskins could've played any worse offensively. It looked like they were sleepwalking during the entire game. The confused look on Zorn's face didn't exactly inspire confidence either. Frankly, the offensive play-calling from both teams was quite putrid. Oh yeah and I'd like to thank some of the sports media for disrespecting the Giants and allowing them to play with a chip on their shoulder entering the season. |

As for predictions, even with the status of Merriman I'm sticking with the Jitenshas to win it all. I'm taking the Cryboys out of the NFC by default
since I can't find another team that I consider a legit contender to win a SB.
ETA: Suicide pick- Philly. |

Where is Star when you need him? I need a Colt...and I don't mean the beer. Actually, I'll take the beer too... |

congrats twisted!
The Giants looked good the first half, but they're going to need to learn to find the end zone better, especially when they start to play better defenses than the Skins have. Still, good start for your guys :) |

Maybe the odds of them repeating are only 24 to 1, now.
