I loved the shot of the Twin Towers. I'm anxious to see the show again this week.
That was the PERFECT way to illustrate how fucked up things were. I know I would've freaked the hell out seeing them there.

The twin towers appearance was good but ...
I'm not a computer-generated image expert, much to everyone's surprise, but something was so off about the scale and tone of the towers in that shot of them, it looked like the land of Oz off in the distance or something. And yeah, I caved and watched the show, damn it. Harvey Keitel is just too damn good to miss. ABC better not screw me this time round. You hear that ABC?? I'm warning you bitch, I'll 1973 YOU if you cut this show while the going is good. |

I feel you. I'm not in the mood to be screwed either.
Oh wait...
I think I took a sip of that one time. It tasted like sweaty camel ass or something. WILL - Go argue with me on the Lost forum, k? |

I also loved the use of the TWIN TOWERS (though I agree that there was something kind of weird about the appearance), but it seems like that should've
ended all doubt about him not being in present-time. Seems like it took him just a little bit too long to "get it" after that point. I never got
around to watching the summer pilot, so I had no expectations. I think this show would be a very nice contrast to all the "high-tech" CSIs, and the
fact that it's on ABC, makes me think it'll get more of a chance to iron out its wrinkles than it would on FOX or CBS.

I really enjoyed it, and like everyone said, the music was great (though admittedly, before my time - you can still enjoy good music when its good music.)
I am curious to see how they plan to make what was a two season series a seven season series - that seems to be the question on everybody's mind. I'm going to sit back and enjoy the ride, regardless though. Terrific cast. Was never a huge fan of O'Mara, always thought he was pretty bland, but he was great in this. |

Why is everyone wondering so much. No one heard of "The Office"? 12 eps and a special in the UK turned into 64+ eps and running in the US.
A good show runner and writers can easily do it. |

Yeah, I think of the US OFFICE as a good example of a show that can be extended beyond the run of the foreign series it's based on. My biggest fear with
this show is that it'll become another bland cop procedural.

I think I screwed myself up. After reading the Brit finale spoiler, I can't see this show going seven seasons! Don't think I'll last that long.
We'll see.
indie! O'Mara is not bland. He is pure hotness! |

It did. The special took place several months after Series 2, the documentary had aired on TV and now the crew was back to film what was going in their lives
now, set around the office Christmas party. By the end David had found a blossoming love and Tim & Dawn finally got together. The Tim/Dawn dynamic was the
lynch pin of the original series and ended with them together. The US put Jim & Pam together over a full season ago and they're still going.

What I meant was did it have an obvious end FROM THE START?
Like say Veronica Mars or Prison Break? |

Well ostensibly Tim & Dawn getting together was the obvious way to end it (and they did) since he pined for her from the start and she obviously had
feelings for him but was engaged.
But like VMars could LoM not go on beyond it's initial mystery? I haven't seen the original nor do I know how it ended but from what I've seen of the US version don't see why not. |

I also doubt that they will be able to sustain the mystery of why he's in 1973 for an indefinite period of time. But I could see the original Life On Mars
going further after the finale end. And Ashes to Ashes evidently states that Sam and the Guv work together until 1980.
Speaking of Ashes to Ashes...has anyone heard when BBC America will air it? |

I'm really loving this show. I was a teenager back in '73 (yikers) & the girl that's his next door neighbour...that was me back then.

I remain captivated. All the little nuances thrown in give me deja vu. Like that Charlie commercial on his radio. And I love the music.
Keitel is awesome. |
