Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I would love it if she were the mole because then she would have lied to her mom about quitting. That would be a bad ass mole move. I guess maybe I just don't want Craig to be the mole. I'm highly doubting if she was the mole, the producers would want her being that obvious and controversial in the first episode or two. This is my two cents, it's not spoiling, it's just spec. I think Nicole is the winner. All season I could have only dreamed of it, but the editing seems to be playing out in her favor. They really are hyping up this Paul vs Nicole feud all season (similiar to the two villians Vjay and Andre in AMSM). So I am thinking they are the finale and fight for it at the final quiz. Even though both are controversial, I'm going to say Nicole wins. It seems the last couple episodes have been seen through her point of view, how she is trying to throw others off to thinking she's the mole, and I think the editors have given her a huge redemption edit. Also, even though both are evil, Paul is made out to be the true evil and bad guy in every fight they do. My money is on Craig being the mole. I think this episode all the pieces in the puzzles finally came together for me. I wouldn't be shocked if it was Mark but my gut is telling me he goes next. And just because they made it obvious doesn't mean it was wrong, as they could be trying reverse phychology or something. I think they have shown the eliminated person's reaction in the previews sometimes Nicole clearly stays next week. Classic teasing in reality tv. Make the average at home viewer think someone is in danger when they clearly aren't. Us reality tv veteran watchers know better, Nicole is safe. I don't see them using reverse psychology because this show is being edited for the average viewer. They don't sit there and disect everything like we do. Both Paul and Mark (and Craig, for that matter) seem to be claiming they think Nicole is the Mole. And Clay thought Nicole was the Mole, too. Notice how there have been ties for the last, like, eight episodes? I don't think that's a coincidence. Everyone thinks Nicole is the Mole, when it's actually Mark/Paul/maybe Craig. So, at the final 3, Nicole will be up against somebody who thinks she's the Mole. In other words, Nicole prolly won the game.

People don't act shocked. They instinctively close their eyes look down, then trod up. Being shocked is something you don't expect to happen to someone else. I think so much has been made all season between Nicole and Pawlie and it all comes to fruition in the most shocking ending of the season. Nicole and Paul have always suspected EACH OTHER all season and they have always been both WRONG. And I thought Clay?Mark were oscillating between the two. (Which would make Craig a great Mole and the whole season a Comedy of Errors.) I think Nicole votes what she thinks is a straight PAUL Quiz and then Paul gets executed. THAT would put her jaw on the damn floor! ____ Nicole's Arc seems to have come Full Circle. She went from a bad player, unliked by everyone, to the UNDERDOG (defender of the Female Race after most were knocked out in order) to the Idiot Savant, seemed destined to WIN either because of the Men's cockiness or a Kathy Griffin Redux of just beating out the times and hoping everyone else is just as clueless as her. This Eppy she says she wants to go via her OWN Choice with dignity. Kinda indicates she BLEW it and royally SCREWS UP the obvious chance at a win. ___ The Eppy made it seem like Mark was leading CLAY astray, leading to his execution. I think that was misleading. Mark told Clay it was either Craig or Nicole. Nicole convinced Clay that Mark was leading him astray. Maybe that convinced him that Nicole thought Mark thought Paulie was the Mole so he could beat Clay. The IRONIC thing here is that Nicole could say this SINCERELY to Clay and sabotage him completely unwittingly because, once again, she thinks Pawlie is the Mole convincing Clay to vote likewise. Nicole betrays Clay's trust in her not by LYING, but by being WRONG. The "Ticket to Ride" assignment warped Clay's head. He decided to TRUST Nicole, just this once to TEST her. And she performed with FLYING colors in the challenge, obviously memorizing things QUICKLY (without Mark's need to write everything down and study it). This gave Clay a powerful CLUE he could have used to WIN the game. Nicole is not the Mole and a powerful Gamer. Given this, he decided to TRUST her instead of trusting Mark and his opinion, "It's either Nicole or Craig." If Nicole's not the Mole, Craig is. Here's the POT. Instead he trusts Nicole's OPINION (Paulie is the Mole and Mark is trying to cheat you out of the Win). Result: Big, RED fingerprint on Clay. He betrayed Mark, not the other way around. In doing so, he betrays HIMSELF. AND, ironically, Nicole. Now she has no idea whether Clay stuck with Mark's advice and decided to vote her or voted for Craig and was wrong or voted Pawlie and eliminated her prime suspect FOR her. She's no better off for Clay's elimination, when she had him feeding out of the palm of her hand.

Classic Edgic would be torn between Craig and Mark for the Win. Craig: Omnipresent, never too positive or negative, but a nice mix of both. Mark: A clear CPP hero edit from Day One, a feel-good win, with a complex story line, getting frequently pissed off, trying too hard? Mole Edgic isn't something we've delved into too much. Forget about what who you think the Mole ought to and ought not to do. When has the Mole actually DONE THIS? Both Kathryn and Bill were obvious sympathetic and strong characters from the get-go. Never once did they seem particularly "Moley." (Indeed, Bill letting the last gigantic task go into the pot when he could have blocked it shows that Moles don't actually play that moley when push comes to shove.) Bill was kind of a CHARLIE Redux, who was PREVENTED from winning Mole 1 because Kathryn SPOILED herself to Steven and Jim, wanting them to win over Charlie. The New Charlie becomes the Next Mole. AL was a sentimental favorite in Mole 2. (Tiny bubbles, anyone?) A GEEK a , total Gamer. Methinks CRAIG might be an Al REDUX. And thus a sentimental FAVORITE. Craig : Al :: Bill : Charlie. The Winner you wanted Last Time -> The MOLE.

Nicole definitely has a naturally boisterous personality but her acting so over-the-top the first episode was just her trying to get into the position of being the whiner in the Crusoe task. The whiner got to delgate who did what and it would be a good position to put the Mole in so they can sabotage by putting the least capable people in certains tasks (Bobby and Craig as searchers for example) while sitting pretty. I think Nicole was trying to fake out her mom to make us believe that she's not the Mole. I mean, who would lie to a loved one?! Oh right, the Mole would. They tried so hard to make us think that she was going home and surprise--she makes it through yet again. They finally showed who the Clay/Mark coalition was targeting and another surprise, they've been gunning for Nicole! I think Mark was trying to get Clay to veer off the Nicole path because he knows he'd be going up against someone who knows the Mole the best if he were to stick with him. Clay was also shown placing trust in Nicole and he probably shouldn't have since he was executed. Mark said something about the game getting dirtier and I think he felt bad about messing up his coalition partner. I can't wait for the next episode!

He's so OTT that in reverse psychology it would make for great Mole because he is outwardly acting out, starting trouble, doing certain things that appear suspicious but his personality is so abrasive that people may think he is just being abrasive and I never see any real surprise reactions from him and some of his confessionals just have a way of reflecting that he is talking as the Mole without obviously saying it due to them being edited. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised this season considering a new host and a long absence. I thought for sure that I'd figure this out early on and each time I've been bamboozled

Most of them are shown in group shots in the back on the van- except Nicole and then Paul with the voiceover -"But one of them is lying...who is the Mole?"

Mark had a quick aside in the first episode where he grabs the jeans on the beach and says, "They had to have pants." It's not underscored like the other blatant Mole moves to lure the audience down a path -but seems like the recall they do in the finale when they reveal the sabotage the Mole did throughout.

Posts: 881 (07/22/08 11:06 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	The theory that everyone thinks Nicole is the mole, but Nicole isn't, makes sense, seeing as how, even if Nicole picks the wrong mole each week (which she is seeming to do) she at least will get one question better than all the others, and thus has a good chance of staying. I'm talking about question One. Is the mole male or female? If she's not the mole, she has that one advantage. She knows the Mole is not female, and will score automatically correct on that question, whereas the men can still take a pick, and lose out.

While true to a certain extent, Craig was the first one to jump at being on the dumb side of the challenge (knowing it'd be tougher and easier to mess up), and the other players let him be in that position. I was actually impressed a lot with Nicole's strategy of following him in the task in order to keep an eye out on him.

Reasons being...he has lost more money than anyone else. In this episode, he tried to sabotage the numbers but goddess Nicole was too smart <3. No one trusted him, so he couldn't screw up that part. The tie was between Clay and Mark, who both thought Nicole was the mole. Watching Craig's confessionals, it's so obvious he is acting! "I uhhh thought Nicole was trying to throw me off uhhh yeah...". ACTOR. It's not Mark b/c he would have taken the exemption in the freezing cold mission with the locks. Not Nicole b/c she's a goddess. And not Paul...because it's just not. I must say, Craig did trick me for awhile..I thought it was Bobby, then Victoria, then Clay/Mark, now Craig.

"They may look like nice people..." (van shot of Clay, Victoria, Bobby and Liz)... "but one of them is the Mole..." (close up of Nicole in passenger seat) ... "here to sabotage..." (close up Paul driving the van) ...."the rest of the players..." (wide shot of Craig, Marcie, Ali, and Kristen's hair) >... "and you must solve the mystery..." (close up of Alex driving the van) ..."and uncover the Mole." (shot of sun setting) Cut to opening credits. *11 players were shown EXCEPT Mark. A little too convenient. Opening credits does have a silhouette of the players -or at least a strong representation for them if they're doubles. Paul's is on "Is the Mole." Nicole's is next on "figures out who that person is" Cut to Craig. Opening credits has Marcie then followed by Nicole (first victim and winner?) Opening from the host has him greeting and giving them the first task on who the mole is, first impression -cut to Mark's smiling face (winner or the Mole?).
