Geez, Marty, did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?
People talk about the weather cause it's common to all. When I pass by an acquaintance and they ask me "How are you?" I always say, "Fine, thanks, and you?" even if I'm feeling lousy. If I say, "Terrible, and you?" it's an invitation to talk. Next thing they'll want to know is why. He's NOT a "fucking moron." He was just being polite. Lighten up. Relax. It's okay. |

I hope you rot in hell. The whole point is that I was LOOKING FOR a "fine, thanks, and you?" or "terrible". NOT A FUCKING WEATHER REPORT. Pick something else that's common to all. I just came in out of the weather. I know exactly how it is outside. You're probably from somewhere where it rains sometimes in the summer. It doesn't do that here. This is California. The weather is always perfect. Just like in the commercials. When I ask you how you are doing and you say "hot out there, huh?" It means you're either deaf or you have absolutely nothing to offer another sentient being. Fuck, I'd even accept a response that quoted Spongebob Squarepants over some shit about the weather. |

That's exactly right!
You must be from Texas. I bet the quality of small talk is 10 times better in Texas. |

Actually I'm from Iowa but some of the sticks do have that Texas wildness to it.
