TC, why bother tracking the person down? I was walking my poodle at the usual 4:45 AM time a month or so ago. I take him to the park on our way to get coffee & a paper. He saw a rabbit & decided to chase it across the street. A guy in a van that was driving too fast slammed on his brakes & stopped about a foot from my frozen dog. I was pretty far away from this and there was nothing I could do. The guy gets outta the van & starts ranting about almost hitting my dog. Oh yeah, first he wanted to now if the dog was mine. I knew we weren't going to get along after that question. He really didn't know what to do after I told him he shoulda hit the dog & walked away.

My point being don't waste any energy with the owner.
