The problem is that there is not really a villain in the movie.
Why does there have to be a villain?

I don't think he's saying there HAS to be a villain because I don't think there does. I think he's just saying that there wasn't a lot of
setup for the guy that was behind everything.
Like I said, it just felt like he just popped up at the end and it was like "Hey remember me? I'm the bad one!" |

But he wasn't bad at all. He wanted to end a war.
It was a selfless act.

Worse?!! jeez....
If this movie was suppose to get non-fans interested in reading the graphic novel then it sure failed miserably. I have no desire to read it after seeing the movie and reading what everyone's said here. |

I really enjoyed it, it met my expectation and was a great adaptation from the comic books. I even approve of the change at the end because I think it might
have appeared even too far fetched and difficult to explain in a film.
I wish the movie was doing better at the box office, because what I really really want is a solo Rorschach prequel. Jackie Earl Haley was by far the best part of the movie, and even look exactly like the character. And with all this talk of blue penis, we've forgotten to also point out that Patrick Wilson has a HUGE ass. |

Well he gained a lot of weight for the role. His ass wasn't so huge in Angels in America.

I got that they were a former superhero team who were all trying to save the world in their own way. My problem is partly in the buildup and partly in the fact
that the fight was all for nothing. Even if the goal was successful at the time, Rorshach's notes will have eventually gotten out and we are back where we
started.
I would disagree that comedian and Rorshach are the bad ones. Comedian was probably the biggest asshole of the bunch and Rorshach was a sociopath, but they just had different morals that wouldn't allow them to accept the actions that were perpetrated. The new ending seemed off to me. Id figure if someone working with american technology this whole time all of a sudden attacked russia in that way. That Russia would have nuked the US so fast their heads wouldn't spin. Also the whole reason for Dr Manhattan being exiled to Mars in the book was so that he wouldn't be blamed for those cataclysmic events. If the whole purpose was to blame him than the radiation storyline is meaningless. |

Wow, it's already been dethroned. Only one week at the top isn't good at all.
Fucking Madea Goes To Jail stayed up there longer. What happened to all that hype? |

Madea didnt have to go up against the rocks movie in its second week

But Madea was up against the Jonas Brothers who, for some reason, are really popular. Miley Cyrus's concert shit was #1 when it was released, and I guess
Disney was hoping for the same thing with the JBs.
Fucking Madea Goes To Jail stayed up there longer. It died because the movie sucked. |

it was the size i mean the length of the movie that kinda kicked its ass. it didn't bother me but come on folks this is a three hour movie we're
talkin' about. most people can't sit still for an hour.
