Last night I saw Cheap Trick, Heart and Journey. Steve Perry has morphed into a young asian dude. Middle aged fat people like to scream and sing a lot. The
smell of pot still wafts around stadiums just like the old days. And they charge THIRTEEN FUCKING DOLLARS for a beer.

If you closed your eyes, it was still Journey. The guy sounds exactly like him. Or just don't wear your glasses and let him be kind of blurry. It works.

I did actually end up seeing George Clinton again the other night. Hadn't seen him peform in twelve years or so. He looks exactly the same, and this show
was actually better. Current line-up is TIGHT. He still walks out and it's like seeing Jesus Christ. Kick-ass show.

No T-shirt, alas. Some guy was tossing out buffs from wendy's. Bright yellow. Just what a girl has always dreamed of owning. Kept my hair up, though.

Cheap Trick did a shorter set and I missed the first couple of songs. They did, of course, sing Surrender and I Want you to Want Me. And they look to have been
wearing the same outfits since 1979. I flashed back to being in the back of Clarence Worthington's mother's mercedes, sparking up a joint and cruising

I'm only old enough to remember the Heart and Cheap Trick comebacks and Journey is just something I've seen on t-shirts. This concert would have bored

They are advertising a concert on the radio here -- The English Beat, The Fixx and the Alarm. If I wasn't busy I would definitely go just to see how Cy
Curnan has held up -- and to flashback to college days.
