I, like most others, left the movie with a smile on my face so it's definitely a feel good overall. But when I took a step back, I thought about what interesting elements it mixed (the music, the city as a character itself, the playing with time, use of Bollywood elements). It was both depressing and uplifting to me. I don't think it deserves BP (even though it's one of my faves this year) - but I'd love to see it (and the director and cinematographer) nominated because it was really well made. Certainly contrived in parts as well but most movies are.
I also loved Michael Shannon as the crazy guyBest part of Revolutionary Road. All the acting was great but he was particularly memorable.
