If you want to talk about unfairness, try some of the gymnastics scores.

When you look at the end of the race underwater, Phelps clearly touched it first. The Serb thought he was there and he wasn't so he drifted into the wall
where as Phelps had taken another 1/2 stroke that propelled him to touch the wall a fraction of moment before him. The clock doesn't lie.

OMG canada actually won three medals: a gold, a slilver and a bronze. The Gold was in the woman's 48 kg class wrestling, the silver was in the men's
pair rowing, and the bronze came in the 54 kg women's wrestling. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!

Swimming is one of the few venues with scores that I TRUST
No partial judges.. Just electronic timers. The only one whining is you. Sore loser indeed |

Get the frames BEFORE this. Cavic was already there...Phelps was late!Really. And you know this how? Your sight is better than the electronic touch pad and the frame by frame pics?

Cavic kicked to the wall with his arms outstretched, Phelps took an extra half stroke that slammed him to the wall first by a fingernail. I didn't watch
the gymnastics but when I saw a recap of the Chinese girls getting their gold I thought they were the smallest 16 year olds I've ever seen.

a riot!

That report on Glenn Cowan and ping pong diplomacy just now was pretty cool. I always wondered how that odd incident came to pass.

Men's beach volleyball - Rosenthal makes an incredible play, and his partner, Gibb, says I love you. |

I did a little digging around him -- the guy wound up having some drug problems. But then again, he revelled in being a hippie. I wonder what he and Zhou
Enlai had to say to each other.
Anyhow, I just sped through today's airings on the DVR. I love the trampoline chicks. Whoa. |

HA! I found it!
Video of the 100 meters which NBC should've aired this morning live, but is holding until primetime. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ggny_usain-bolt-the-new-ben-johnson-in-9_sport |

Wow, he had a great lead for that race. Amazing.
(Sad that I only understood every 3rd word of that video after seven years of French.) What time does Phelps swim? I'd check myself but I did yesterday and thought he wasn't swimming so I missed the race last night. |

10:55 EDT if McWolcott's schedule still holds.
I loved Bolt's reactions. The guy could've shaved a little bit more off of the time if he'd hadn't gotten so carried away. But props to him -- really cool to see undiluted joy instead of the usual posturing after a 100m. I really like this guy. |
