The Serb thought he was there and he wasn't so he drifted into the wall where as Phelps had taken another 1/2 stroke that propelled him to touch the wall a fraction of moment before him. The clock doesn't lie. If you want to talk about unfairness, try some of the gymnastics scores.

The Gold was in the woman's 48 kg class wrestling, the silver was in the men's pair rowing, and the bronze came in the 54 kg women's wrestling. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't watch the gymnastics but when I saw a recap of the Chinese girls getting their gold I thought they were the smallest 16 year olds I've ever seen.
