Pray for more, as the Chinese are up next. |

She did bad but it didn't matter. The judges had it set that china was winning Gold and the fact that half of them might be 14 or under is a farce.
I just want Shawn to win Indv Gold as she's been so damn good. Her beam was way better than her score both times she performed it. Now for Phelps to go 8/8 and 8 WR's! |

So what happens if an investigation after the Games determines that the Chinese girls are in fact underage?
Do the medals get returned the way they do when the track relay teams get caught for doping? Anyhow, the US team beat themselves, so perhaps the result should stand. And props on Silver anyhow. Would've been nice to smack the Chinese in the teeth, but hey. |

What's the age limit now anyway? 14? 13?
I know UK has a 14 year old diver. (Or is he a swimmer?) I thought he was pretty cute, then I heard he was 14.

Really???? Then, how come the UK diver, Tom Daley is 14? There are a lot of articles and stuff about him too. One of them is here. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/080808/2/141nf.html |

It's only for gymnastics. Which is stupid.
As much as i like Phelps, watching him obliterating the competition in every race is getting kind of ... boring. I wish there was one race that was actually a race and not just a battle for silver. But anyway go Michael! The only person who could look furious after breaking his own world record! |

I feel bad for Alicia...I really do. There's always London in 2012 for the USA. Plus there are the event finals in which Alicia, Shawn and Nastia all
compete in. Not to mention the Individual All-Around, in which Carly Patterson won gold back in 2004 after the US team took silver in the Team Finals, losing
to Romania. It was just tough to watch all three gymnasts go out of bounds, and watch Alicia falter on her last two events. Heartbreaking.
Congrats to China! It's a good feeling to have your home country win gold. Especially when the Olympics are held there. Felt the same way when the Magnificent 7 won gold back in 1996 in Atlanta. |

Kind of stinks to see US lose to China, who probably is cheating by shoving some 12 year old out and saying they are 16. Hopefully at the all-around Shawn will
win and one of the Chinese girls will break down because she finished second and tearfully admit that she is 12.

I want to disembowel Alicia for basically losing all of our momentum, but at the same time I have to realize that you can't always have a good day.

Alicia has got to feel like total crap for that whole thing and she's never going to forget that moment. It'll always be lingering in the back of her
head over and over again. Its one thing to screw up an individual competition, but a team one just makes it even more difficult. Its gotta suck, but she really
choked that one away. Not just one fall, but two and out of bounds too. What is up with the American women and floor exercise?

The only thing golden that those gymnasts got was Marta Korolyi's hilarious "What will I do with you?" look.
