Well, they might've had Phelps live on one of their cable sub-networks.

It's going to be a while before I figure out how this works.

However, it looks like we will get the Phelps race live tonight, and truly live. I dunno what NBC was up to with that volleyball match. Was it live on the east coast, and then replayed according to mountain and central time zones?

There's apparently also a womens relay live tonight.

Chiming in on the Opening Ceremonies love, oddly, with all the high tech stuff and choreography, it was the simple image of the torch lighter running around the rim of the Birds Nest that I thought was the most profound. I loved how he "planted" his feet when they would've hit the track and propelled himself forward.

I read an article that concluded that only the Chinese could stage something as massive as this, as they had the big bucks to throw at it that couldn't have come from a democracy. I dunno about that. I bet a private company could raise that kind of cash.

Anyhow I hope the Brits don't feel compelled to review 2000 years of British history in Wembley....

And what's that DirecTV site (or channel?) that somebody referred to above?

I just finished watching the replay of the womens sabre.

My goodness those girls sounded like angry ferrets. Really cool, though. I wish I'd realized earlier on that spearing the opponent doesn't count.
