Hey OT -
I'm heading to Boston tonight for a two day boring techie conference. Will be staying near Faneuil Hall - what's fun to do in that area?
(and 'kill yourself' is not an acceptable answer)

Faneuil Hall is probably the most fun place in New England.
Go there. |

My understanding is that Boston is not a college town...is that correct?

That would be comically incorrect. Are you being comical?
Go to a bar in Dorchester and talk about how fucking lame the Pats were for pussing out at the SuperBowl. It's a local tradition. |

(it's a vague Spinal Tap reference - "Don't worry about playing in Boston, it's not a college town anyway" or something like that - so
yes I am being comical, I think there are something like 75 colleges and universities in the Boston metro area)

I just spent 2 weeks in southern Maine, and all of the Red Sox talk was beyond boring. It seemed like every radio station had a Red Sox talk show, non sports
shows talked about them half the time, and every local was a Sox fan. Should the Sox trade Coco Crisp? How many idiots need to ask and answer that compelling
question?

Yeah, but part of that is because Mad Dog is a huge San Francisco Giants fan.

Yeah but they talk a lot of college sports and that's DEFINITELY not a NY thing. Seriously, Boston sports radio will make any sane persons head explode.

ESPNRadio isn't much better.
At least not during my afternoon drive. |

Yes, the local sports talk show stations do tend to talk about the Red Sox during the currently underway season. Isn't that WEIRD????

I don't mind Ordway and those guys during the week. That's about it, though.
