We opened to our feeds with great anticipation and with the usual aplomb, BB's skippy FUCKED UP THE SOUND!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness for BBAD so we at least
could watch the group kitchen scene where everyone was talking over everyone else. They didn't get the sound fixed until the first 90 minutes had passed.
We were eagerly waiting to see if Skippy would hint at who won veto and sure enough, Jerry's picture is by the POV. We know it was used, based on some spoilers. We find out very quickly that Brian replaced Jessie on the block. Brian and Dan were outside playing basketball with the pool b-ball getup, isolated from the group in the backyard. The rest were in the kitchen preparing for food. We heard phrases like, April came from nowhere, we didn't expect Ollie to betray us, the girls got to Jerry, etc. So, while the first episode left us with a healthy hate on for Brian's smug arrogance where he was thinking he was controlling the game, we find out that he had a very hard fall in the first 6 days in the house. Dan is being a supportive pal, saying he won't vote with the house, if it become inevitable that Brian is leaving. Dan isn't worried about being a target based on his vote because he feels he already is one. Apparently Steven is hovering around these 2 guys, and is supportive of their game. Steven does NOT like Libra, and he is blaming her for the change in power.
We see Angie and Michele hanging around each other a lot. Keesha is making sure she is friendly with the girls, but I got the impression she wasn't tight with any of them. We also discovered that we have an OREO alliance (
at that term), because Libra, April, Ollie are aligned. Libra and April are VERY
CLOSE. I get the impression Ollie likes white chicks. Memphis is hovering around everyone, and bragging about being a model in his past. Jessie is laying low,
which is typical of someone nominated the first week. Renny changed clothes several times during the first BBAD (reminded me of Jen's fashion shows), and
she was VERY QUIET tonite and the first to bed. Apparently the girls have told her to not be abrasive because they plan to save her with votes this week. Libra
has begun to get on many people's last nerve because her bossy alpha personality is coming out.
OK, let's talk about why Jerry turned on Brian so quickly. Apparently the scene we saw on the show where Brian was selling himself to Jerry in the HOH when they discussed nominations went over too well. Brian, by trying to be slightly shady, represented to Jerry that those TWO were the final 2, tight alliance. He did not spell it out for Jerry that Brian really came with 2 other guys, Ollie and Dan. Apparently Ollie spilled to April, who told Libra, who told Jerry, that Ollie, Dan and Brian had something going. (lesson here fellas, don't only align with the alpha males at the beginning, they almost always fuck up over the gals). Jerry felt VERY BETRAYED by this information and decided that his semper fi really wasn't always faithful because Brian had other deals. So Jerry took this opportunity to nip this betrayal in the bud early in the game. Jerry is going to end up with BOTH of his original nominations in the house after his HOH, if Brian does indeed get voted out this week. This can come back and bite Jerry in the ass.
Steven wants to win HOH and put up any of the oreo alliance or Jerry. He is mad at all 4 of them. We haven't heard any of the girls talking about winning HOH and what they want to do.
After BBAD was over, Libra was getting maudlin about missing family and Jerry got maudlin about his situation with his wife's deterioating health. They consoled each other with Angie there, too. Michele came over and also gave some empathy.
Brian plans to work the house to get the votes. He was teasing Steven, Keesha and Dan that Tuesday was going to be rumor day in the house
Late breaking news. April and Ollie are snuggling and flirting in bed together. They were also kissing. So we have the first official showmance happening. I just KNEW this dude dug the white chicks. Remy woke up and Michelle also went to bed in the same room (the old pullout sofa room from last year), so it interrupted the action with April and Ollie (they were laying on one of the pink beds).
Dan, Brian, Angie and Memphis are still outside and it took exactly no time before Memphis started to talk about himself. He is now talking about his new car that he won.
OK Peeps, the season has begun. We have alliances forming, the first big backstab has already occurred, we have our self absorbed mactor, and our first budding showmance. Not bad for the first 6 hours of feeds, even if the first 90 minutes had the sound all fucked up.
Bedroom choices:
First bedroom, the one without doors. April, Michele, Angie and I think Memphis. They all have their own beds.
Back bedroom, the one that Adam had last season, is Dan, Ollie and Brian. Maybe Jessie is here, too. Skippy hasn't panned to this rooms since everyone went to bed. But I can't think of any other place where Jessie would be. I think there are 4 separate beds in this room. I think there is a double bed and 2 singles, because it looks like Ollie has someone in his bed. He is sleeping with his head down in the foot area, and the other guy is sleeping with his head in the normal head area, so I guess they didn't want to appear too gay. I can't tell who it is in the dark room
What used to be the boat room last season, we have Renny, Keesha, Steve, Libra. Steve and Keesha share a bed and Renny and Libra have a double bed to themselves.
Jerry is obviously alone upstairs in the HOH. The only room still talking is the girls' room. I am not sure where Jessie is. On the episode, he appeared to be in the back bedroom where the other guys are. I think Ollie and Jessie share a bed, but they sleep at opposite ends to appear "not gay" (they didn't say so, that is my take on it)
