It's a nice change back to strategy. I know Dan has faced some deserved criticism for being too much about TV, but with the one exception of the veto wheel, all his dramatic moments have also been in the context of the game. The past few years have had so many people who treat the game as nothing more than a reason to whore around or to throw tantrums. Yes Dan has all the usual stuff that won't ever happen about a clothing line or TAR appearances, but he's played the hell out of the game. Of course you could say that's a mistake if he's in F2, because he's played such a complex game that the jury may just give him a thumbs down, but it's been fascinating to watch. I can't imagine how he would explain it to them, but I'd like to see him get the opportunity. I think what I like most about his game is how he managed to get several different tasks accomplished with one move, how he managed to give so many people what they thought they wanted when the moves benefited him the most, and how he used the worst traits of those around him to help facilitate his plans.

He managed to combine the best parts of the old BB, where most people floated around from group to group serving their best interests, with the new BB, with one team against another team to the end. He could pluck what he needed from the other side while still counting on his alliance to help him keep safe.

I was thrilled to see the editing regarding Dan last night including so many of his DR's where Dan is outlining his game play and explaining for the "viewers" that truly everything he is doing has a strategic purpose behind it. Dan is several steps ahead of everyone and I'm glad the PTB are showing us that and giving Dan the credit he deserves.

A lot of the time I think the show goes for the easier edit (the cocky guy yelling in the DR), so I was also glad they had more of his play. His game is one that is only easy to see on the feeds.

Another thing about Dan is that most of the time he's usually given feed readers/watchers some heads up as to what they normally wouldn't see until a few days later (like him taking Michelle, or his throwing F4 POV).

I hope this second part works out the way Dan wants. I guess we'll see.
