This is where I see Dan having a clear advantage on Memphis. He's very articulate and can drive a point home. Memphis isn't quite the talker, though
he is still likable. I just hope that Dan can read the jury well enough to hold in his smarmyness. That could really rub people the wrong way. The Q&A
is the time to be humble and direct.

Great posts James and Movie. Love that Dan brought back "the love of the game" for so many BB fans who have suffered through several bullshit
character driven seasons filled with "shtick". Like I said in my earlier post I had such low expectations due to the lousy last few seasons it was
fabulous to be surprised by some actual gaming going on with out all the bullshit. Thank the BB Goddess.
Someone said the fact that he was surrounded by idiots made it easier for Dan to get to where he is, but I think it would actually be harder to play with a house full of idiots. It has to wear a person down to have to repeatedly baby sit the dumb asses and go over everything a hundred times to either get your alliance to realize why they need to do what the plan is or prepare for what your competition might do in a given situation. The idiots are scarier because you have no idea at all how they will react or things that might slip out of their mouths by accident that can fuck everything up because they are too stupid to know better. That would be exhausting if you ask me. That is why I think that Dan played an intensely hard game and absolutely deserves to win this thing. Oh and RENEGADEOWNAGE you are jensnumberonfan aren't you? I hope that Padre has stayed at least slightly focus on the task at hand over these last few days. Right now I see this race being neck and neck and how the
kid adresses the Jury will probably be the determing factor in who wins this thing.
Personally, I think Dan has to be forgiving for hurting feelings (which he is anyway, so we should be okay in that department) but not even think about apologizing for playing the game and making the moves he made. The last Jury segment gave us hints that a few of the peeps in there are starting to come around and detox from the "I hate him forever" stages and heading towards "I don't like either, but at least Dan made some plays" grounds. He needs to stress the fact that he dominated the HOHs down the stretch, he needs to stress the fact that he was the ultimate underdog in there from the beginning of Week 2 on, and he needs to consistently stress that he played the game better then Memphis. If he can find that perfect blend of sympathy and confidence, I think he could very well be on his way to the Early Show to sign his check. |
