that would presume he HAD glory days.. a man who is happy with his life and wants to recall his glory days is sure as hell not going on this show.. if he HAS watched them and again I think he has been watching the Game show network and confusing To Tell the Truth and Truth or Consequences with "reality" shows.... has selected one of the most heinous of shows.. even Survivor manages to have a "aura" of respectability.. I would welcome going on TAR despite the need for my scooter chair and binge drinking...
This is an ANGRY man needing control.. and what better way or ironically a better group to finally demonstrate control which has eluded him for his life.. a Marine unless in leadership is one of the most "grunt" oriented military factions.. watching Generation Kill on HBO reminds you how little independence is demonstrated.... which is why Marines are fierce warriors but rarely do you see them make great Political leaders.. diplomacy and intellect aren't exactly the watchwords in the Marines.. and I would never use those in description of Jerry either...
