That reminds me, I worked for a dentist in Florida who's office was beachside, and every morning before work we had to clean all the beer cans and bottles
and trash up out of the grass and parking lot, EVERY morning. This was not Orlando Trixie, it was Daytona, even worse than Orlando. I also know all the forrest
land between Orlando and Daytona is now towns, and strip malls and big malls and neighborhoods with houses stacked on top of each other.

When I visited Germany several years ago I was impressed with how clean everything was, until you were on the road to an American military base. Cigarette
butts and trash lined the streets. I smoke, but I don't throw the butts out the window. Maybe it is because I grew up in California and saw the devastation
of the wild fires caused by careless smoking, I don't know, it just seems so wrong.
When I was in Japan, I saw mothers carrying little plastic bags to put the kid's trash in rather than allow it to be thrown on the ground. I hate litterbugs. |

Because gum is one of the worst pieces of litter to come across yeaster that is what, it gets stuck to the ground or parking lot, melts in the sun and then
gets stepped on and some one has to scrape your saliva nasty chewed gum off their shoe. that is What yeaster! You will get TMJ problems as your bad kharma for
spitting out gum.

I always chew gum when I fly to minimize ear popping. So imagine my surprise years ago when I couldn't buy any gum in West Palm airport, which was just
upscaled/updated/whatever. None to be found. Seems they banned gum from the premises.

Well Daytona is tourist redneckville, that's for sure. Not surprising about the trash. Any town that allows cars on the beach is fucked up in my book.

My brother is in Fort Lauderdale and my parents are in North FL, All of Florida sucks to me, I went to college in Pensacola and have lived and visited many
areas of Florida.
I still have a condo down there but rent it by the week, I don't really like going there. What makes it worse I think is seeing Florida once very pretty being ruined by developers, every time I go back to any town in Fl, there is more and more crap everywhere. I almost don't mind the hurricanes I feel like mother nature is saying get all this shit off me! |

DeBrun, I understand there's a country that has banned chewing gum
And going from Glacier to Waterton and back again was a real eye opener - the canadian side was way cleaner And Montana and North Dakota were way neater than Arizona and California - maybe it has to do with the types of people who settled there? |
