Equal Time: A German Civics Quiz |
Lead | |
|
Since I posted a US Civics Quiz last week in honor of Independence Day (which several OT Europeans, Canadians, and Australians took and did quite well on),
here's a chance to see how well we all fare on a similar quiz based on the history, politics, and civics of another country.
The following is a test that has been proposed for those applying to become German citizens. Are you smart enough to be a German? |

My score, incidentally, was 30 of 33 correct on the first try. (Scores are kind of on the honor system, because they let you retry until you get it right, and
don't deal with misses/retries in the final recap).
Of the 3 missed, I got 2 correct on the mulligan, the third required more than 1 try (but it was only about a regional flag color scheme anyhow, so meh!) |

You scored 33 out of a possible 33 points. Well done! You would have no problem getting a German passport. |

Good going, BW! Were all of them on the first try? Or did you have to take a mulligan?

mulligans are for wussies.
ps. it was a very easy test. I had to guess on 4 of them and the common sense answer happen to be right. I'm a good test taker. |

I missed 4 questions and I guessed on a lot of them. Bernard is correct about the common sense answers being the right answer.
I got the flag colors right! |

33 out of 33!! Yay me! I would also like to add that the last time I was in Germany I felt like I was in fucking Turkey. There are so many immigrants, legal
and non, that I was shocked. I was also shocked to learn of the rising backlash against immigrants and the rising movement of the Skinheads. Some politicans
are also not to fond of the influx of Turkish and Middle Eastern peeps.
