Posts: 83 (07/09/08 4:13 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	As Bill recently wrote in his blog, Folks, Scott Stone and Clay Newbill, producers of the Mole, are coming out with a campaign to keep the mole from being executed...by ABC. The web site will be (later today or tomorrow) www.savethemole.com. I have mixed feelings about this. While I respect the producers' attempt to take the show off life support, I believe their site will only reach the (~3.5 million) loyal viewers. Are the producers doing this because they don't see ABC doing enough to save the show? Makes me wonder...

Fox Reality?) so it's reassuring that the producers aren't just throwing in the towel and accepting this as the final season. Some cable networks would kill for a show to bring in half those ratings so I refuse to think of it as dead in the water...again. I still want NBC or CBS to pick it up, I watch literally nothing else on ABC besides Jeopardy!

The very future of The Mole hangs in the balance. While our core fans have been turning out in droves, the show has been underperforming in the key 18-49 demo. Yes, we know, Monday at 10:00 p.m. (9:00 central) sucks for a lot of people. But that's what we've got and we aren't moving. The good news is we still have a chance to show ABC how much people love this show by getting our ratings up for the last five episodes. We did it the first four times we were on the air and we can do it again. If we don't, the show itself could be facing execution at the end of this season, and this time it might really be fatal. ENTER OUR "SAVE THE MOLE" CHALLENGE! Interesting idea, but the prize is a little weak. And 500k hits is a lot, even by Youtube standards. The spelling bee kid who fainted didn't even hit this milestone. Someone at ABC really doesn't like Scott Stone.

And how their website is all content and not much else. They seem really committed to this cause... I'm not trying to be a hater.
