Earlier this evening viewers were assured that 60 Minutes would be on later. There wasn't any information about Big Brother being on later. Don't those at CBS think that many people care about Big Brother?

Earlier when the tennis match was over, a lot of time was spent handing out a trophy. Then a lady who was head of some type of tennis organization talked. (I
watched briefly, with the sound muted).

They must not. They were dumb enough to believe people like to watch tennis.

It's almost 1 AM here, and I got an old CSI Miami rerun. I didn't even get the Pepaw clones on 60 minutes. Curse you CBS!

I'm in Alaska (just moved here last month from Deep South) and still no BB at 9:30 p.m. I'm an hour behind West Coast so maybe I'll get it at 10
p.m. Or maybe not. Crossing fingers it comes on later.

I honestly believe that Dan is a game player first and foremost and for him, the "game" is what is getting his juices flowing. I truly believe him when he says that this stuff (The Renegades, having fun talking about pulling out the bandanas, the OTT deal with Ollie and the OTT Roulette spiel, the putting up Memphis, etc.,) is for great television. He seems committed to achieve a final two with Memphis because of what a great show it's turning out to be with all his and Memphis's "antics" Frankly, I love it. Dan is playing balls to the walls and having a blast doing it. Yeah he comes off cheesy and a tad cocky at some points but I think he is actually just tickled pink over all these moments he is creating that he would be satisfied with second place knowing he played hard for this once in a lifetime chance. Anyone would want the 500K but even Memphis has commented on being okay with 50K also. Frankly I think Dan's approach is contagious because Memphis seems to be enjoying all the hoopla as well. Obviously I may be wrong but that is just what I sense when I watch Dan and also Dan and Memphis together. As a viewer, I love this. Watching someone who is so enjoying the game for the game itself is refreshing. |

I think Dan is playing hard for the first place money. That's why he's taking Michelle on the trip and not telling anyone about it.

Trixie, I agree that Dan hasn't been "playing the game for the jury" up until this week .. but now that the prize is within sight, I think
he's made two decisions that show he is starting to consider wanting to beat Memphis if they can get to the F2 together
1) taking Michelle on the trip to the private beach -- I'd love to see more "Dan talking to the cameras" to see how this trip went -- but I think this was a great choice for Dan, he always liked Michelle (evidenced by his HOH blog the week he blindsided her) .. I think he'll position part of his talk with her as "You were the strongest competitor and you weren't in my four person alliance so we had to get you out" .. of the jurors available for the trip and whose jury vote he might sway, I think he made the right choice 2) not pushing to keep Keesha this week .. I imagine that Dan has been silently rejoicing that Memphis is pushing to boot Keesha this week .. Memphis' hasn't had to get his hands bloody this whole game and now that he finally does instead of Memphis booting Jerry (who Dan probably thinks would NEVER vote for Dan at the jury house) .. Memphis offers to boot Keesha! Dan's eyes lit up with dollar signs when Memphis offered to do that .. potentially securing Keesha's jury vote (and maybe securing Renny's as well?) .. Anyway, I agree Dan has been playing this game with a devil may care attitude towards the jury and I love it .. but now that they're getting down to crunch time, I think those two things prove he is thinking about it .. and I'm certain if Dan makes it to the F2, he'll put on a good show during the jury questioning phase With this bitter jury, I still don't think Dan can win .. but stranger things have happened! |

Dan is playing the way I like BB players to play - for the love of the game. Sure, the reward is sweet, but i'd rather watch somebody like Dan make it to
F2 and not win, than to have somebody like Boogie make it to F2 and win.

Dan's not playing for the love of the game. He wants money.

They all enter the game to win, that goes w/o saying, but Dan has played for the sake of playing....his blog said as much - he said he's enjoying the experience. JMO |

But you are honestly saying that Dan is NOT playing the way he is playing because he LOVES this game and playing how he is playing in large part because this is a huge thrill for him and wants his game to be thrilling and make good t.v.? |

Dan plays with a great deal of intensity: I think it's because of the first place money. What if there wasn't a prize for the winner? I think Dan might
play in a sloppy or half-hearted manner.
I think Dan would buy a house. Then he wouldn't have to spend the next thirty years paying off a mortgage. If he didn't have to pay off a mortgage, I think he would save, and carefully invest, the money he earns as a teacher. Dan is young, but seems responsible. |

I've said this before, but winning the money aside I like Dan because I think he really is playing this "for love of the game". He is having so
much fucking fun in there and it shows. Those idiots didn't speak for over FIVE HOURS when he was gone on his luxury trip. He's not bitter, he
doesn't talk nasty trash talk about everyone and I've really only seen him visibly stressed one time in the whole game and that was after Jerry won the
F5 HOH. Anyone who can still giggle like a little boy after 9 weeks in that hell hole just HAS to be entertaining the crap out of himself with this. It's
a lark that could also pad his bank account. One of my faves in years.
