None of the ABC family shows require a full thread so I thought we could group them all together here.
Minuteman > American Teenager Title eidert only by moderator, decoupling it from Minuteman.

Umm Greek and Kyle XY already have their own thread, and they're both amazing shows....that being said these shows suck a lot.

Was not a fan of The Minuteman, which sucks, because I loved the commercials. I really liked The Secret Life . . . I was worried because it's from the
creators of 7th Heaven, and the Camden kids would never get pregnant. So far, it's good. But, I'm going into school counseling, and that school is
really fucking lenient on talking about sex, distributing condoms, etc. I'm all for the condoms, but I just don't see a counselor talking that openly
with a student (right away) about the student's desire to bang someone in the band.

Middleman is cute. Tons of subtle humor. I love the way her boss talks.
American teen just seems like it's going to be really preachy. Not really into the whole "you can still have a love life if you get pregnant at 15" thing. I'd love to see her get an abortion and then deal with the emotional damage from that. |

Well, I doubt she'll get an abortion considering the main point is that she's pregnant. I agree that I hope they don't do the whole "love
while pregnant" thing. Some of it is cliche, but a so is Greek, and I love that show. Plus, it's Molly Ringwald. I'll give it a couple more
views.
As for the Middleman, does Matt Keeslar (the boss) age? He looks almost exactly the same as 10 or 15 years ago. |

Loving The Middleman- but that American Teenager show was awful! Too bad because I was hoping to have an excuse to see weekly Molly Ringwald- everyone should
have a weekly dose of Molly Ringwald that doesn't rely on WE reruns of 16 Candles. :)

I always do a subscription for these shows. They rerun them at midnight a couple times during the week.

Middleman is pretty good, I caught the premiere episode and liked it, have yet to catch another episode, when does it usually air?

It's on Monday evening. They rerun it in the middle of the night on tue or wed also. It's a good one to set your tivo to record.

Oh my God, I haven't even finished watching the premiere of 'American Teenager' but it's SO awful. I can't stand any of the characters,
the way they speak is completely unbearable and it makes me appreciate Juno for being able to handle an issue like this without being too fucking obnoxious.
Hate the christian couple, hate the slutty girl, hate the nerdy kid, hate the counselor, hate the girl's family, but her and her friends are OK. I hope she
gets an abortion and the 3 of them jump town and they start this crappy show over again.
It's also bullshit how they seem to try to justify the drummer guy's sluttiness by the fact he was sexually abused as a kid. Of COURSE, they also have to have a token disabled brother as well...this is the kind of garbage I was expecting from a channel called 'ABC Family'. It's really a shame since I absolutely love Kyle XY and Greek, but this was just a bunch of crap.

I kind of want to watch "Minute Men", but I've missed an episode or two, and I hate starting mid-show.
But...but...American Teenager...she's falling in love with the kind of dorky guy after sleeping with the popular guy (I've gathered this through all the promos, nothing else). And there's that song I want to download...and Molly Ringwald!!! Please...let's not forget when it was just the Family Channel...and it had Maniac Mansion and Top Dog!!! |

Middleman is on late tonight which means I'll be taping it on it's first run, generally I don't catch it till the middle of the week.
So, band geek tells her sister today I guess. I just don't see how this show can be responsible with the main character having a baby. Either the baby will dissapear and it'll seem easy or the baby will be all cure and then it'll seem easy or the baby will be annoying and hard and the show will suck. |

What's up with pregnant girl's friends telling her to hook up with the geek, then dupe him into thinking it's his baby so she can have a chump to
help with child support? Not a good message to send to teen girls, I don't think.
The best character on the show may be the kid with Down's. I was ROFLOL when he saw Grace's BF kissing the school slut and started screaming: "GWAAAAACE!!! GWAAAAACE!!! GWAAAAACE!!! And when the drummer asked "Do you mind if I cut in" (to dance with Grace), and he said "yeah" with a 'no one hooks up with my sister but me' attitude. |

I am addicted to the trash of American Teenager. ughh. I had to fill time before hell's kitchen was on!
I hated Juno, but this is at least relatively okay. I'd like to strangle some of the characters, though. |
