Our bed is 32 inches to the top of the mattress, too. I got tired of the running jump, so I bought a cute little step stool a few years ago.

It was nine feet high and six feet wide
Soft as a downy chick It was made from the feathers of forty 'leven geese Took a whole bolt of cloth for the tick It'd hold eight kids, four hound dogs And a piggy we stole from the shed We didn't get much sleep but we had a lot of fun On Gammy's feather bed |

So ghetto. Do you use pizza boxes for covers, as well? |

Makes nailing midgets that much harder. But it's the perfect height to receive blow jobs. |

The only think I would worry about is a little one who doesn't understand that it hurts to fall off a big bed. That's how they learn. |

High beds are so much fun! I wish my bed was like that, but it has to be on the floor with all the spiders and shit. And no, I don't use pizza boxes for
covers; I use Hefty trashbags.

I'm not going to measure it, but mine is low. Just a regular metal frame and the old standard height for box spring and mattress. I've never had a high
frame or pillow top or anything else that makes them high. I'm short and I don't want to have to climb. Besides, my three-legged cat can barely jump up
as it is. Any higher and I'd have to get her stairs.

Our box-spring and mattress are resting on a blanket directly on the floor. One of our old dogs was having a real problem getting ine and out of bed so we went
low. My child hood bed is really high off the floor. When my nieces were little I would have to lift them into it.

Ours is lower now that we took out the boxspring. Since our room is upstairs and under a slanted ceiling, it was a bit too high.

we got a new bed and you can opt for a shorter box spring since the new mattresses are getting thicker and thicker but if you do that, then you can't put a
dust ruffle on it without major alterations which i would never do.
did put a chair next to the bed just in case the little dog couldn't make the jump, she can, but uses the damn chair and jumps up and over my head nightly. gotta love the pets. |

See, that is one of the reasons I like a high bed - so the dog can't get on it. But she doesn't climb upstairs anymore so that is no longer an issue.
