Yes, don't soak it in water first though. It will cook the salmon uneven.

Cedar is a good flavor (I'm talking to everybody but merkyl btw).
We made homemade tomato soup in Italian cooking and smoked the roma tomatoes with cedar chips that were on the verge of igniting. The flavor was unbelievable. Plus the smell should come in a spray can. Very nice. |
