I just read Tony Horwitz's new book. Apparently, you are supposed to speed up if you see a Dominican cop clocking speed. They are so crooked they'll
pull you over and ask for a bribe, but b/c of said crookedness the police department doesn't give them enough gas to chase you.

If you are an American travelling to Northern Ontario on Highway 400 just north of Toronto, STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THE LEFT-MOST LANE. I understand that the metric system is difficult for you guys (hint: look at the little numbers on your speedometer!) but every summer, WITHOUT FAIL, I get stuck behind some fucking SUV with American plates, a "Support the Troops" bumper sticker and a slack jawed hillbilly behind the wheel doing 101 kph in the fast lane at least ten times. Don't you guys have that rule down there? Fuck. |

It's illegal to make a right hand turn on a red in Quebec (or at least in Montreal), I believe.
