Thank you Fighting Chickens. I knew picking against them was a good idea. Woot.

Wait, wait, wait. UC managed to get himseelf banned from a fantasy league?
Kudos, man. You must have been an exceptional asshole to accomplish such a thing. |

StarRider wrote: Thanks. I caught Atypical in a big cheating scandal last year. He broke his own rules and started taking game predictions in the middle of the actual games. Sometimes he would count them, sometimes not. A lot depended on how much Atypical liked the person and whether the actual team won or not. Well, Atypical, as you can see, is still shook up about being called out and refuses forgive me. I may have been an asshole about it, but so many people had invested in the game, the least atypical could do was follow his own rules. Atypical knows I'm right, and that's why he's still angry about it. |

LDog, I also considered that game... I mean, any game where Ball State is the favorite is certainly worthy of a look!!
StarRider wrote:Star - and anyone else who's interested - if you're reading this post, there's a chance you've read whining crybaby's previous post. I present for you here a differing version. In last year's game, a player had to pick the winner of selected games for the week. At least a couple of players cut it too close in terms of getting all their picks in on time. One player made a guess on a scoreless game which was something like 3 minutes into the 1st quarter, where the team with the first possession did nothing with the ball; at most, the second team had just started their first possession, if that. Absolutely nothing of consequence had occurred in that game, so I let this person's guess count. In another instance, another player made a pick on a game which was into the 2nd quarter, which I felt was too late into the game to allow the pick; additionally, a score had been made in that game. The stated, main point of the game was for people in the thread here to have fun playing it. UrbanChild seems wholly unable to understand that concept, nor can he understand that rules are sometimes not completely black-and-white in the real world. So, his crybaby whining began - surprise, surprise... and it didn't stop... wait, make that hasn't stopped. I made my point of view very clear to him - "act like a child, and you'll be treated like one." He did, and still is, as you can see - so that's how he's being treated. I suspect that you (anyone who's reading this - other than the whining pansy, himself) already have insight as to this aspect of his persona... ...so judge for yourself who's telling the true story, here. I have a strong level of confidence that you'll choose correctly.

Yeah, AtM, we have Navy's flagship station here, so wee get the games. I didn't go with them because they had erratic offense against Towson last week.
Good thing, because they couldn't run with Ball State's speed.
I'm not believing that Spurrier's boys were so woefully unprepared for Vandy for the 2nd straight year. Game prep conflicted with Steve's tee times? Damn, that would have been some points!! Anyway, other than Navy, I would have gone with Georgia Tech today (Paul Johnston installed the spread and made Navy into a near-powerhouse) but for the fact that BC's D-line is so enormous. Plus the fact that it was only a 7 point game, I stuck with my other 3 dogs. I have some good information on one, which leads me to believe I've chosen well. But I thought I chose well last week, too, and we see how that worked out! |

Least year's game between them was very close - just a 3 point difference, so it was definitely worth the look. If it'd been a home game for Navy, I
might have selected it.
SC was 14-3 against Vandy before last night's game; I figured that last year's VU win was an anomaly, and that SC would get back on track with their winning ways against them, so I (regretfully, now) skipped that game, too. I'd read about BC's D-line, but I went with the Bees anyway, figuring that the BC offense won't at all be the same as it was last year without Ryan. It should be a tight game. I'm also thinking that the 3 TD spread the oddsmakers have for the Sooners over Cincy might be a LOT more than they actually get. Cincy is NOT a pushover. I actually considered that game. |

Atypical Male wrote:You're right, GT-BC looks an under kinda game. But GT has kicking game problems, so that didn't seem to work in their favor either. GT's best shot at winning is to run BC ragged early in the game and hope they create some holes in a tired D-line. ETA: Yay, GT-BC is today's ACC game of the week, so I can watch!! OOPS ... I need to hurry up and finalize last weekend's DVD-R so I can do some serious game juggling today.
