I was just coming here to post the same sentiment, Taco. The current "#1 ranked team" in the country at present beat 'Bama, on a neutral playing field, by 11... and, lost an AT HOME game. Utah just won against the same opponent by 3 points more, also on a neutral field - and went undefeated, including wins against 'Bama, TCU, BYU, and Oregon State. That's a little misleading. If OSU won the NC, I was guaranteed to win the bowl competition outright. In which case, I would have won the bowl series and
Quaf would have won the season total, setting the table for this year's epic match-up between us.
But LSU won, meaning Bernard, another smart sports analyst, won the bowl series instead.
