I saved one from the local bar parking lot. A chick a couple streets over raised it and built a HUGE squirrel habitat that she attached to the house so the
thing can gon in and out as it pleases.

They don't leave the tree nest until they are older.. but we have some younglings that follow Stubby onto the deck for peanuts.

We had young twin squirrels come around last year with the others for peanuts. Jasper was here this morning to get peanuts. I made her jump on the garden bench
to get them. Next I'm going to get her to jump through a flaming hoop.

we had pet racoons growng up al lthe time. their mom's would get smushed from the quarry trucks nad we would raise the babies until they were old enought
to go out on their own. my dad had some special license thingy he had to get to do it.
and we had a skunk that we raised like that too, but she couldn't be realsed back into the wild beucase she was too tame. we had her de-smelled, named her coco and she was with us for years. She used to sleep a the end of my bed and I used to take her for walks on a leash and harness. then she got out and got hit by a quarry truck when she was about 4 or 5.

Aww, Beep, you are lucky. My Mom would have recoiled in horror had I brought home a pet skunk.

There was a dead baby squirrel in the middle of my patio yesterday -- the mom was up in th tree making quite the racket.
