I grew up at Cedar Point. Sadly, I haven't been for about 10 years. Just don't care for all the walking and standing in line anymore. The kids still
go, of course.

I can't wait to go to Cedar Point this year. The Maverick, the one that opened last year, is so much fun!

Yea, I sure did Eury. back in 85-86. It was a great school, and i played varsity football that year. We would all hit the Flags package store near the Garden
Inn just over the town line every weekend. Many trips to High Street and the OSU campus to party at the frats. Also had a kegger at the Dirty Drive Inn out
there somewhere. I forget its name, Sky something maybe?
I still have friends in Powell and Pickerington. |

Is Cedar Point still a good park? I grew up in Detroit, and we used to drive down there once or twice each summer. Great memories.

I mean did you *REALLY* want to see the Maplethorpe exhibit that badly? If you think Cincy is a shithole compared to Columbus, you are either daft, or have never been to Cleveland (or Youngstown). |

Has anyone been to the new COSI?
Does it pretty much have the same layout as the old COSI...or did they totally rape it and get rid of everything that was good about it? i.e. Cave of Time, CrackerJack prize hallway, that long ass hallway with the giant toy train set. |

Wouldn't canned cement corn be kind of heavy Aero?

This thread is kinda creepy... I knew Eury lived in Columbus, but didn't know so many other posters live in Ohio. I'm in Athens.

I actually think Cleveland is waaay better than Cinci. Cincinnati has a very nice downtown, but once you get out of that area, it's gross. and there's
not a lot of good things to do down there, in my opinion. Clifton is an OK area.
I kinda feel Shag's pain. If i know my state geography, it sounds like she's in the middle of nowhere. I grew up in the middle of nowhere and people just sort of went to the wal-mart every night and hung around. oh and there was the cruising. like nekey said, there are some good wine places way up northeast, but it'd probably be about a 2 and a half hour drive for you. i recommend checking out an indians or browns game if you can get up here. they are awesome experiences. i think shag is a broadway fiend, so try coming up to playhouse square center and see something. they have some decent plays and stuff. I am being forced to see the shiteous jersey boys with the wife this weekend. You would probably like the west side of town better. it's more young and trendy. stick around tremont and ohio city. there are lots of coffee shops and places to eat. if you're into hippie shit, go to the east side in coventry. they have lots of cool stuff and you can spend a whole afternoon wandering around record stores. stop by Big Fun (a vintage toy store) and eat at Mint Cafe (awesome Thai food). If you like veggie food, Tommy's is good too. They have the best milkshakes. um, there's a jesus museum in mansfield. and a penetentiary. you can do the football hall of fame in canton? zomg!! you MUST go to grandpa's cheese barn! It's right off I-71 at the Ashland exit. Amish country might not be too far away. Sugarcreek is kind of nice. If you're willing to drive farther, I recommend the Hocking area in the southeast. Also, the Ohio Caverns north of Dayton have always been a favorite of mine. eta: oh and Bucyrus has a yearly Bratwurst festival that I hear is charming. heh.
