Fuck Michigan! (We don't give a damn 'bout the whole state of Michigan)...

First off...

We have the BUCKEYES! Yeah. Pretty much all of Columbus shuts down when they're playing. Jim Tressel is probably the most respected person here.

Stuff that you'd be into? Hmm... The best tea shop EVER (Zen Cha) is located in the Short North area of the campus area in Columbus -- the man who owns it is a real tea nazi. I've been going there since it opened, and I will never go elsewhere... he goes to Europe several times a year to bring back the best teas. The food's amazing, too.

We also have the best bookstore (ever) located in German Village (which is beautiful on it's own) and right next door is a german restaurant that has been recognized for it's cream puffs (which are literally to die for... I'd kill several people for one right now, dammit).

The first of every month is "the gallery hop" -- go to it. I swear once I saw a piece of cardboard with spray paint being sold for over 4k.

Downtown is fairly nice -- if you can catch a performance at the Palace theater? Go for it. Concerts here are great, and as for shopping -- check out either Polaris or wander aimlessly around Easton. There are also outlets heading south off of I-71 close to Cincy.

Sandusky, Ohio has Cedar Point. You won't find a more exciting place for roller coasters anywhere else. Seriously.

Down in Cincy, we got King's Island -- when your baby gets to be a bit older you two should go check out the Nickelodeon Universe and take dorky pictures with Spongebob.

The Cincy museum is good, too. Last summer they had an exhibit on a pirate ship... Arrrrrrrr!

We have some good restaurants in Columbus. If you money to burn, check out the Refectory... it's my favorite place to eat. Mitchell's, Bravo, Buca di Beppo... really it depends upon what you're in the mood for. Feel free to PM me if you ever come here and want recommendations.
