1. Do they reveal the mole to us ever, or does it hang in the balance until the last episode?
2. In past iterations of the show, have they ever been up front about who the mole is so that we could instead watch how he/she masterminds it?
3. In past seasons, has it ever been demonstrated that the editors/producers have baited or manipulated the mole's confessionals and say things like "I think so and so is the mole" or "I'm not the mole" to intentionally misdirect the audience? Or can it be assumed that all the characters who are speculating on who the mole is are not the mole.
4. I can't figure out how the show is won. At the last episode...there's a pot of $X,0000...the winner takes the pot, right? But how is that person determined the winner? I am guessing it comes down to the mole plus two others, and somehow the two non-moles have to correctly identify who the mole is?
5. If the mole wins does he or she get the pot? Or does he/she get the inverse of the pot? Or the maximum potential that the pot could have been? Nothing I've found on abc.com seems to tell me that. It just says the mole is trying to sabotage the group, but what is the incentive of the mole to sabotage the missions if he/she only gets the pot?
6. Why do many seem to employ the strategy "make everyone think I'm the mole"? That would likely result in a lower pot for the winner. Sure, it may get you closer to the end since people might answer the quiz as if you're the mole and then get booted because of it, but if the goal is to win money and not just be the last standing, wouldn't it be wiser for everyone to play as well as they can and force the mole to play a more cunning game?
I may have more questions but those are the burning ones. It burns. It burns.
I like the music. And the show is pretty good. I'm not sure I'm in love with it. It seemed contrived to call alliances "coalitions" just to avoid the appearance of being similar to Survivor. That annoyed me.
Any other first time watchers out there who are confused like me?
