Get Smart got good reviews here. Love Guru not so much. I might need alcohol to enjoy that one.

Are people actually considering going to see this in a theater? Surely you jest. This has free download written all over it.

I didn't see neither movie, don't even plan on seeing them but I have to fully agree with this statement. And Anne Hathaway(sp?), she's ALMOST enough to convince me to see it. |

How was Nate Torrence in it? (he's Masi Oka's counterpart)

Almost an above average movie. Missed it by that much.

The problem with Get Smart is that the makers had little concept of the show. Its supposed to be more of a slapstick type of thing rather than some action
packed generic spy spoof. People will go see it for Carell.

I went and saw this tonight. It was surprisingly good!
Fuck, Anne Hathaway is hot! |

It made me laugh. Many of the best bits have already been shown in trailers and talk shows though.

Yup, wasn't too bad, I kinda liked it. Actually had some decent action scenes as well.

I want to go see Love Guru because Stephen Colbert is in it and I miss him as an actor.

Watched Get Smart & Love Guru. I had no idea what GS about (it was my friend's idea to watch it) and was pleasantly surprised. I'm a sucker for Anne Hathaway, I guess. It
had its moments...made me laugh. It was solid. Cü
LG, on the other hand...ugh. WTF!?!? The only reason I even saw this one was because my friend had free passes. I soooooo would've walked out 1/4 of the way through if I weren't mesmerized by Justin Timberlake's hotness and the slight chance that we might get a peek at his man meat. He is a God. <3 JT <3 I've been in love with him for...10 years now. An entire decade already? Damn, I'm old! I've been crushin' on him since if first saw him in NSYNC's debut music video (I Want You Back) on Much Music back when I was in...10th or 11th grade? Mmm, yeah. Total hotness. He's the longest crush I've ever had. He gets hotter by the second. Anywho...if it weren't for JT, I'd give this a movie a D-/F+. Because of JT's involment, I'd give it a D+. Summary: GS: if you have time to kill, see it. You'll LoL at least 3 times. I promise. LG: JT fans...watch it. Everyone else...avoid this like the plague. |

^I did the same today.
Saw Get Smart first. The theater was packed and the crowd loved the movie - we were laughing out loudly in almost every scene. The action shots are beautifully done. Anne Hathaway dominates the screen with her beauty. And everything about Steve Carell is comedy. Then we sneaked into The Love Guru and it's pretty much the stupidest movie I've ever seen. Mike Myers + Jessica Alba = abomination. These two should never be allowed to make movies again. |

I saw Get Smart and enjoyed it. There aren't many good comedies out there (maybe Love Guru I haven't seen yet, and Baby Momma was OK at best) but
I'd say Get Smart's worth the money even if there are moments that don't hit the way they were intended. I was mostly excited about seeing the guy
from Hero's and Nate Torrence be the funny gadget guys and they delivered. I've seen Nate do live one man shows at the theatre next to the Improv in
LA and he's hysterical so it was good to see him get a good role after Studio 60 and his chain of OTT commercials.

Great movie. When the hell did Anne Hathaway grow up?!?! Jesus, I'd eat that ass.
There was one big screw-up in the movie: Did anyone else notice that? |

I saw Mongul (the Genghis Khan movie) instead.
Well, most of it... |
