Here's the issue - Weezer had lots of potential. The first Weez CD was great. Pinkerton was so fully rejected by everyone (critics and fans) that Weez
practically imploded. Rivers ran off and sulked at Harvard. Boo freakin hoo. The Green Album is a nice return...but really, they are consistently meh.
Coldplay? Never really got into them, but there sure were a lot of folks watching them on the Today show this morning, and Coldplay were THE MOST BORING LIVE BAND EVER. Now I understand the hate. |

Weezer>coldplay. Hash Pipe Say It aint so Buddy Holly right off the bat, Weezer crushes Coldplay. Coldplay has 'The Scientist' and 'Yellow' and both those ballads are not rock tunes. |

I like 'Clocks.' I don't know who Weezer is though.
Then again, the closest I have to rock on my ipod is 'Shut Up and Drive,' so I doubt my opinion will be at all useful. |

Say what you will about Coldplays first three CDs, but the new album is really really good. Been listening to it non stop since it came out and I still
haven't gotten sick of it. It's nothing like their old material. Their first couple of albums tend to put me to sleep, too. Good in small doses but I
can't take it for too much longer.
