Caesar. Countless menus across the nation have been misprinted with "Ceasar" and it makes me crazy.

Oooh, QueenMalla and Softtaco mentioned some of mine, too.

You're completely right, NTA. No one ever really thinks about it since it's mostly used for food, but holy crap, I bet I could ask everyone I know and
they'd all get it wrong.
When I waited tables, I would always put "caesar" and people thought I was crazy. They hear the long e sound and assume it's first. I always think "say-zar" when I spell it out. |

capital vs capitol
one US state capital had businesses with the word in their name misspelled over 50% of the time
or when used in capital punishment or financial capital |

That makes me want to cut people. Especially when they inform me that I am in fact the idiot, because they say it "could of" so it is "could of". |

clique/click
That one fucking drives me crazy. Of course, there's also its/it's, but that's a grammar error, not a spelling error. |

I usually have to spellcheck cemetery. Not sure why, but cemetary looks fine to me.
Correct usage of stationery and stationary give me pause, too. |

prolly instead of probably. HATE that.
And supposably instead of supposedly. The mispronunciation of that is even worse. |

Undoubtably.
Prolly doesn't bother me because it's not a misspelling. |

I hate how some people say "hambooger" instead of "hambuRger". How hard it is to pronounce the R?
eta I know it's not a spelling thing but it drives me crazy.
