I am allergic to my flip flops. I usually wear sandals but thought what the hell I'd get the pair that matches my swim suit. I have a latex sensitivity but
never thought about what they made flip-flops from. My feet felt like they were on fire when I tried to wear them. God's way of saving me from a fashion
mistake?

My flip flops (slides, not thongs) did that Wal*Mart thing my feet last summer, just not as bad as the pic (but still bad). They can't be worn for long
wears...I still use them though. And they're Speedo brand so I expected them to be decent not poisonous plastic.

The problem with sunscrean on the feet is that the minute you step in the pool or the ocean it washes off.
I have gotten sunburn on the tops of my feet before. It really hurts. And it really puts a damper on the rest of your vacation because you have to try and protect your feet from any more sun. Which is practically impossible if you are at the beach. The best thing I have found is water booties. Rubber soles to protect from the hot sand and a top to protect from the sun. The look nerdy as hell, but once you see me in a swimsuit, it's all over anyhow. |
