Actually roger, you're asking the WRONG person. I can only understand spoken Russian if it's spoken slowly. I'm watching to improve my skills; not to mention that S7 is already sucking and I need an alternative.

I watched the second episode of last season's series in Russia, then saw the same episode again one week later in Ukraine. Otherwise, the way to watch it is, of course, at it's website:

I have no idea about that winner because I first noticed this alternative after the second season. I also don't remember where the third season was filmed, but this one seems to be in or around Costa Rica.

Last Saturday's twelfth episode, unbeknownst to viewers beforehand, marked the finale of �îñëåäíèé ãåðîé (Last Hero-4). Six finalists competed, coming off the depressing elimination of Nikolai Nikolaevich, the most popular castmember ever, in ANY country.





This version is looking less and less like Survivor, as numerous participants were eliminated by challenges, or by a stupid method in which the TC elects a "leader", who in turn decides which one will go. This is how NikNik got dumped. Don't feel too bad for him, though. As he noted in his farewell speech, there is kind of a conflict-of-interest, as his popular nature show is on the very same network. Not unlike Rudy Boesch appearing on Eco-Challenge before Survivor.

In the next-to-last episode, they compete in this challenge:



As a result of being the first to lose, lazy Vlad is eliminated, leaving seven remaining.

In this final episode, the six are pared to three with three challenges. After each immunity challenge, the winner passes on a white ball to someone who she/he feels also deserves immunity. This continues, until one is left with a white ball; that person is eliminated then and there. No need for a tribal council.

The media whores have a difficult time pulling their balls up the muddy hill. Sasha finally wins out. After the event, Max is the one left without any balls, and thus is eliminated.

Katya wins impressively. Sasha, the last male standing, is left without any balls, and is eliminated, finishing in fourth place.

The tough-as-nails professional bodyguard, famous for her spiked wristband, beats out Zhanna 5-3, while Katya got zero votes from the jury. Though she wasn't able to "find a husband" during her media whoredom, she did get a surprise visit from her daughter at the end.

One scene you ought to see, is host Alexander Domogarov walking off the set, ripping of his wig, meaning, in real life he actually doesn't look like David Koresh at all. He's shown walking into the Moscow nightscene, perhaps meaning this wasn't really filmed in Costa Rica in the first place. Apparently, no helicopter was available, and obviously you can't ride a jet ski into Moscow (like Probst in New York).

Notes:
-This entire season's slogan was "End of Game". There are reports that this show will not see a fifth season, unless ratings improve.

-As the folks at www.geroev.net astutely predicted, a woman won this series, just like in the second season, while PG-1 and PG-3 had male winners.
