It's gotta be the most religious imagery this side of a Mike Huckabee ad.From what I remember, there was a lot of religious imagery in the second season of this show as well. It's an easy theme to work with.
Paul is a good biblical name after all. Could it be a clever pun on Kris-ten? Probably a stretch. Ali did seem to talk a lot about God though, so in a certain way it could point in her direction. And didn't Mark write one of the Gospels? The mind boggles. What I really don't see the producers doing is saying, "Okay, our Mole's name is Paul, let's get lots of shots of churches and Holy Mary's and throw a bible into the Robinson Crusoe challenge." It just seems way too much of a stretch, and it doesn't seem like good planning to set up elements of production based on your Mole's name (especially since the Mole would not be brought on until casting was nearly finished, at which point you'd expect most things to be planned out already).
She got a bag when she was supposed to, in a situation that it'd be reasonable to expect here to get money. Not exactly suspicious there. If Kristen was the Mole, the producers easily could have told her she had no money in her bag, in which case she'd do her damnedest to grab it.
He appointed himself driver and Alex as well. Now, maybe it's a coincidence that appeared on the quiz, but with only 10 questions that was kind of interesting.Quizzes are based on what the producers see the players doing during the round, not the other way around.
2) Liz, Mark and Kirsten (the appraisers) scored a maximum amount of money (3 out of 3 objects).Er, they got 3 out of 5, which is not the maximum amount of money they could have earned.
They turned the cab-ride but I think even the Mole would turn that down as it may have just been too over-the-top to accept it.I dunno, these people are pretty desperate for exemptions. Mark and Kristen were already costing the team $35,000. What's another $5,000, really? And being as it would guarantee the team's failure, I'm not quite so sure it's an opportunity the Mole would want to neglect.
Liz and Craig initially raised there hands (the visual of them on a tandem is rather amusing to say the least) and Mark and Kristen also raised their hand soon after. At least on the tape, Nicole was the first to really push that Mark and Kristen be the ones to go up the hill and soon the other (notably Paul) agreed in that assessment. What's interesting to me is that when Paul called for a vote on Mark/Kristen being the bikers, Alex and Victoria didn't raise their hands. The Mole should be very inclined to support that duo over Liz/Craig. It's hard for me to buy that the Mole wouldn't jump at the opportunity to ensure that happened.
Given that they went the whole 20 minutes and then had to do penalties I can't rule out the Mole being a late hero.Which makes me suspect Alex less, because sabotaging the penalty kick was simply unnecessary. It drew attention to himself, and didn't really hurt the team whatsoever in the long run.
Paul was very clever to smash the pig and get the exemption (and it seems Alex and Nicole at the very least also figured that the exemption must be inside a pig).By the way, I don't see the Mole doing what Paul did. Basically, he had a golden opportunity to help Liz get an exemption (all he'd have to do is convince her to break it, either subtly or overtly). Ensuring the survival of the one of the team's biggest physical liabilities appears to me to be something the Mole would like to do.
She did basically zip in the pig pursuit but with Bobby and Craig it's actually kinda hard to figure that the Mole would seek to team up with those guys and "sabotage" them - they seem to do that well enough on their own.If she's avoiding suspicion, teaming up with a group that you know is bound to fail is a wise decision. Kristen was able to do absolutely nothing the entire task, and Bobby took all the heat.
