Was that some kind of rock soap opera? Kind of lame.

i was fortunate enough to see next to normal and west side story this year, and karen deserved her win as much as next to normal deserves to win it all. if
only next to normal was adapted from a movie by elton john.
next to normal is an amazing show. you should definitely go see it and then i dare you not to be addicted to the soundtrack. |

i just can't bring myself to see a show based on a movie. i saw the producers and spamalot, but those were enough for me. i was thrilled when the
princess bride fell apart, because i didn't want to have to see it.

Xanadu is the exception to the movie rule, of course. Xanadu <3

oh, wait. i did see little shop of horrors and loved it. in my defense i never saw the movie prior.
i could see xanadu as another exception even though i never saw the show, because it was camp and so was little shop. |

I loved Spamalot
They're trying to make money and in order to make money these days they've got to be recognizable. I'd rather they did a book than a bad movie or created a plot around a bunch of songs. |

Is it just me, or did the Billy Elliot number remind anyone else of the musical Satan's Alley from the wonderful John Travolta vehicle Staying
Alive?

The Lion King was based on a movie and it was also really good.
