If you want to see a bad direct-to-dvd sequel, check out the Day Of The Dead remake/ sequel to the Dawn Of The Dead.

Buggles, I couldn't agree more about Rob Zombie. And a great scary movie to rent is Creep. It's a UK release; very well done and scary. And gotta give it up for The Changeling. |

Gnarl, I saw that Urban Legend 2 movie and youre right, it was horrible.
May is a brilliant horror flick. I recomend that one to everyone here. |

Eaten Alive was on IFC Grindhouse over the weekend. I love that movie. Watching it you can get a feel for what Zombie wanted House Of 100 Corpses to look and
feel like with the psychadelic color schemes and whacked out music. Yet another 70's Trash cinema flick Zombie attempted to rip off.

Rob Zombie is a horror film director god! One of the few directors who gives storylines to the killers.

How about some creepy Japanese horror suggestions?
The Ring 1 and 2, Ju-on: The Grudge 1 and 2. And no, the US remakes don't count. They suck. Audition is one of the most fucked up things you'll ever see. "Kiri, kiri, kiri..." *shudder* |

^^^I loved Audition..That movie was fucked up!

Miike's films are usually weird and gory. Just not as creepy as Audition. Visitor Q has got to set a record as to how many truly fucked up things can be
put in one movie.

I'm not sure why they called her the tooth fairy, or if they did, my memory isn't so good on this movie, all I remember is the ghost/creature could
only move through the dark, it couldn't get anyone in the light.

just laugh thinking about that humiliated guy.

Lucio Fulci movies aren't particularly scary, but they're enjoyable for the trashy, gross-out factor. Where else can you see a shark and a zombie
battle it out underwater?
And for the Suspiria lovers, Dario Argento's new one The Mother of #+$*# is coming out in theaters pretty soon. Actually, I think it's already playing in NY/LA. |

Suspiria is vastly overrated.

yeah, Darkness Falls. The "tooth fairy" was supposedly a part of the town's folklore. Can't remember the whole story, but something about a woman hundreds of years ago being put to death because they thought she killed a local kid. And now her spirit is haunting the town or something like that. |

I liked Session 9, but I wouldn't call it great or recommend it very much. The genre is limited, so all you're going to have are the retreads, the bodies per minute gorefests, and the high-enders obsessed with atmosphere. Good horror films third acts are hard to find. I agree that The Descent was good too, but the whole earth-as-a-vagina thing with the lesbians all fighting to get out had me laughing inappropriately. |

Session 9 was good. Creepy and unsettling vibe. And a semi-tolerable David Caruso

The ChangelingX, scared the poop out of me as a kid. Still scary seeing it 20 years later. I enjoy the Final Destination movies...well, the humour olf them. I don't find them scary. |

I was so disappointed in The Descent. I may have found it more scary if I hadn't heard sooo many people say "OMG scariest movie ever!!!!1!!!",
because then I was expecting too much. If I wasn't super claustrophobic I would have found it even less scary. Plus it may have lost something on the small
screen, as some movies do. A sequel where it turns out the one bitch did escape after all, and then goes back in? Stupid as fuck.

^They could just start the sequel at the same time that the first one left off. I have hope that Juno survived, damn it!
