Maybe it's because of the SNL skit where Justin Timberlake sings with Kermit.

I liked both of those entries in that last post. I don't mind where Cookie Monster is ranked that much. I thought he should have been in at least the top
10 so I am happy with that, but Swedish Chef would be in the Top 5 of my personal favorites. Love the random Katreya "Cookie Monster" reference.
Something tells me that "Cookie Love" could end up being one of Cookie Monster's favorite songs.

Grover It's is everyone's lovable furry pal Grover. There's so many dimensions to Grover, as Aidan previously stated. There's regular Grover talking to us at home, then we have Grover on the job, trying his best to be professional. And then we have Grover saving the day as a epic superhero. What can't he do???? Grover is in fact, the top ranked monster on this list. There's so many great Grover moments, from his Monster in the Mirror song, to him waiting tables, to the epic book Monster at the end of this book. All of these things manage to put him at number 7 6.
Count Von Count It's is I, Count von Count ah ah ah. The Count is awesome, not so much for the fact that he likes to count, but his passion for it. Anybody who is that passionate about any one thing, is ok by me. Back in the day The Count was scarier than he is now, but as usual, people complained and he was toned down a bit. Now he is more humorous than scary, but he is still A-ok. Oh, you tricky Ernie!! Such laffos |

The day you ranked Cookie Monster, he appeared on The Colbert Report.
Would this have gotten him the #1 spot?!?! =O |

I probably would have ranked him lower. The sometimes food thing gets on my last nerve.
Thanks for posting that though, the Robert Downy Jr of cookies thing made me laffo |

Ernie One half of the best comedic duo in history, Bert and Ernie. Ernie, being the Oscar Madisor of the group, is messy, loud and sometimes downright annoying. And Bert is left to handle all of it. But their two styles together makes them a joy to watch. Ernie has a fondness for his rubbey duckie, which he takes everywhere. Also, despite the number 5 ranking, Ernie has my favorite Sesame Street scene ever which is prominantly displayed in my Yuku profile. I've always felt more people enoyed Ernie than Bert and thus he got a lot more air time, which is a shame. But I don't resent him for it, cause Ernie by himself is also pretty awesome. Not the bugle!!! Ernie, the sheep are tapdancing!!!! 4.
Waldorf and Statler Everyone's favorite curmudgeons. Waldorf and Statler have a opinion on everything that happens on the Muppet Show, and it is always negative. Which is pure laffos. They are the kings of the one liners and they love to heckle Fozzie Bear. They even had their own internet show recently, critiquing movies. They have branched out <3 |

Bert/Ernie are the Louie/Chad Ferris of the muppet world.

Kermit the Frog The most legendary muppet of all time. Known the world over by everyone. Kermit, is in essence the leader of the muppets. He's the star of all the movies, and still finds time to be on Sesame Street. Kermit is a busy busy frog. Kermit was able to show so many facets of himself, being the fearless leaders in movies, being the laffotastic newsreporter on Sesame Street and being just a impartial narrator in many movies. That is why I feel he is so liked, he's shown the most, but people never get sick of him. That in itself is impressive. He also has the most famous muppet song of all time in Rainbow Connection, a beautfiul song that touches my heartstrings every time I hear it. And It's Not Easy Being Green which is equally as touching Laffos And here's Kermit with one of my favo reality show winners ever 2 to go |

Kermie!!!! While I like both songs, his cover of "Creep" beats "Rainbow Connection" any day. |

Rowlf the Dog Any dog that plays the piano is A-OK by me. It's hard to explain why I love Rowlf so much, but he was always my favo in all the muppet movies, and it would always be a delight to see him on screen. He managed to blend satirical wit with adorableness and great music. And you can't ask for much more out of any muppet program than that. Little known fact is, Rowlf was built for other purposes. Originally he did dog food commercials and then was on the Jimmy Dean show for 3 years, before he ever made his way in with the other muppets. He was a star in his own right. And here is the biggest fact, in the original Sesame Street pitch reel....who was suggesting the idea to the powers that be? That's right, Rowlf the Dog. I bet you all didn't know how influential Rowlf was. However, to me the crowning Rowlf moment will always be The Muppet Movie where he played the local bar pianist who was able to console Kermit on what was happening. That will be the second clip, but the first up, makes me cry everytime I see it. And it probably will till the day I die, if that makes me less of a male then so be it. But it's beautiful and it touches my heart. And this seems as good of a time to go on my praising Jim Henson speech as many. Nobody is perfect, and he surely wasn't. But in the end the man was a genius, and he wanted to entertain people. Kids and adults a like. Aside from Walt Disney and maybe Mr. Rogers, no one has shaped children's programming as much as he did. He was a wonderful man whose legacy will live on, past all others, cause muppets will never die. Though not as popular as they once were, I have no doubt one day they will be just as big again. Anyways....on to what I was discussing earlier And one more, since I had never seen this before and it was pretty amazing John Denver<3 |
