It would always really piss me off when people would say that Bert & Ernie were gay just because they lived together (and now they do the same with
Spongebob & Patrick). It should be pretty common knowledge that the majority of Muppets reproduce asexually.

Herry Monster I thought his name was Hairy for the longest time. Anyways, Herry was awesome cause he seemed rough and tought. Like the most dangerous monster on Sesame Street, but really he was a gentle teddy bear. He broke the sterotype of male monsters having to be tough. He didn't have to play with trucks! He could play with dolls and it was ok! Cause he was secure enough with his sexuality for that. And that's a good message to send to kids. Just cause you play with dolls, it doesn't make you ghey, it just means you are in touch with your sensitive side. so touching 22.
Guy Smiley And now it's time for everyone's favorite game show host.......GUY SMILEY!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYY. Guy was a awesome parody on the classic gameshow hosts of the 70s. It was perfectly done, and he has always been one of my favorite random characters. It's a shame they stopped using him, cause not only did his skits showcase him, it also showcased other characters. It was great stuff. Hilarious |

"They call me Guy Smiley because I changed my name from Berney Leitercraft!"
I find myself agreeing with this list quite a bit as of late. Animal was always very overrated to me, Gonzo never felt as personable as the other Muppets, and it's nice to see surprise appearances from great cameo characters like Slimey and Guy Smiley. |

Rosita Rosita was the first bilingual monster on Sesame Street, brought onto the show to help kids learn some Spanish. Which is a good tool to have I think. Now, I have some reasons for Rosita being this high, cause overall she's not a amazing castmember. She's nice enough but she barely has any memorable moment. However, back in the day, when I was like 6. I went to see a taping of Sesame Street, my dad worked construction for something or other and talked to a guy, and the guy said that I could come watch a taping of the show if we were reallllllly quiet. So we did. And much to my surprise, during one of the breaks in filming, Rosita and her muppeteer actually climbed the stairs to get to the seats, and came over to say hello to me. It was epic, and a reall sweet thing for her to do, as she was the only muppeteer to come to me that day (However Gordon also did, Gordon <333333333). So for that she has always been in high regard by me, and she's my favo color. So Rosita gets number 21 20.
Beaker Did anyone ever tell us what Beaker was? I mean, we know he's the loyalassistant of Dr. Bunson Honeydew...but why is he the way he is??? Perhaps he's been blown up one too many times and has lost all capacity to think. Anyways, Beaker is a lot of fun, but much like Animal he is kind of one dimensional. That's why the doctor ranks higher, cause if it wasn't for him, Beaker wouldn't be nearly as entertaining. But he did provide for this classic muppet moment which you all have to watch!!! lolololol got ya :) |

If Swedish Chef is cut before the top 3 for being "one-dimensional," I'm going to cut a bitch. Beaker being ranked this low is a travesty.
As for Rosalita, I wasn't even aware she existed until fairly recently, and when I saw she was the obligatory Spanish-teaching Muppet, I immediately hated her. I mean, I'm not some hardcore ignorant conservative who is angered by every bit of Latin American culture that pervades our society, but honestly, I just really, really hate that Dorah the Explorer show, and it's tainted my view of all "English with a bit of Spanish" TV shows. So, in short, no, I'm not a Rosalita fan, despite knowing almost nothing about her. |

Boo! Animal, Gonzo & Beaker are all too low. I don't know how anyone could rank Bunsen Honeydew above Beaker, when Beaker is clearly the more awesome
of the two. Also, I have absolutely no idea who Rosita is.

After these two we start to get to the main people, and everyone will be in T.ears
19. Sweetums Randomness<3. Sweetums is a giant who many of the muppets are afraid of. He's clearly a intimidating presence. He had some good moments on The Muppet Show but the main reason he is ranked so high is cause of his appearance in The Muppet Movie. You see, he worked at a car dealiership and when the oppurtunity arose to go to Hollywood he couldn't wait. But then Kermit and the gang left without him and he spent the whole rest of the movie trying to catch up with them, finally breaking through the screen at the last possible moment and living out his dream. That friends, is inspirational. 18.
Scooter Yay for nerd type characters. Some may aruge that he is too high, but I always enjoyed Scooter. He was a big help in The Muppet Show with the background stuff, also he was probably bigger on Muppet Babies than he ever was on the actual Muppet show. He got a lot of time with the celebs on The Muppet Show cause for the most part, he was a gofer, and would go tell everybody when it was their time to come on stage. He rarely got a chance to appear on stage....but when he did he made the most of it |

Yes, I, for one, would argue that Scooter is way too high. Especially seeing he's above Sweetums, which is just wrong. Sweetums would devour Scooter whole,
and I'd love him all the more for it.

Big Bird Everybody loves Big Bird, there isn't a whole lot to dislike really. He's just a friendly overgrown bird who wants to be friends with everybody. And despite being one of the figureheads of Sesame Street never has he became too much, or overshadowed any other muppets. And that's impressive. On top of that, when something goes horribly wrong and they want to teach a lesson, it always goes to Big Bird. Like Mr. Hooper dying, or Hurricane Katrina hitting Sesame Street, or Big Bird getting lost. He has had some very emotional moments. But through the help of the grown ups and his teddy bear Radar, he has always made it through. In tribute to kitty's pokemon countdown, lets take a look at Big Bird's previous form before he evolved into what we know today. Scary 16.
Oscar the Grouch The second muppet voiced by Caroll Spinney in a row. Oscar is everyone's favorite Grouch. He has no times for anyone and just wants to be left alone in his trashcan. But unfortunately for him, the worst possible place for him to live is Sesame Street, where everyone is happy all the time. So he is constantly annoyed with people who want to cheer him up. I personally love the fact that Oscar loves things like thunderstorms, traffic jams, and watching people be miserable. That's pretty awesome in my book. Muppet Trivia:What's the name of the Garbage man who carries Oscar around??? And much like Big Bird, Oscar also looked different to start out with. Much different
Crazyness Sesame Street used to be such a event with the Christmas specials and such. I wish that feel would come back again. :Sigh |

I'm disappointed Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch are so low, but I suppose there are more awesome Muppets to come. But I don't think it can get much more
awesome than the Grouch anthem from Follow That Bird, so I'd better be impressed with what's to come (FTB also increases my love of Big Bird, his song
when he's blue is a tearjerker).

Fozzie Bear Wocka Wocka! The lovable fuzzy bear and righthand man to Kermit the Frog. Fozzie, as they would say in my high school of Queens New York, GOT JOKES!!!! He had many jokes, unfortunately none were too funny. And he was often ridiculed for his bad stand up act. But to me, where Fozzy thrives were in the muppet movies. He had some great songs, some great one liners, and was just a awesome all around sidekick. Classsssic 14.
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew Love the Honeydew. His mad experiments were always the awesome, and even as a tot I viewed knowledge as power. So I was all for the doctor blowing Beaker up in the interest of science. He always got little snippets on the Muppet Shoe of his newest inventions, it's hard to pick a favorite, but off the top of my head this is the first I remember. Random fact In a 2004 Internet poll sponsored by the BBC and the British Association for the Advancement of Science, Beaker and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew were voted Britain's favorite cinematic scientists. They beat Star Trek's Mr. Spock, their closest rival, by a margin of 2 to 1 and won 33 percent of the 43,000 votes cast. And now we move on to something very different! Naj is here to share with us, the best Muppet Babies of all time!!!! Take it away.... |
