Only Canadians have Showcase. The US has Showtime which shows more series than Showcase. Your thread is only understood and relevant to 10% of this board.
The only thing better on Showcase and not on Showtime is The Trailer Park Boys. But Canookians miss out on great series like the Sleeper Cell and many others. |

It is because of Showcase and The Movie Network delaying Showtime and HBO shows that I got into DirecTv in 1999.

On Showtime!
Directv stopped allowing Canadian credit cards to subscribe from Canada due to licensing issues. I have a Paypal Premium Businesscard / Mastercard which has a 4 digit prefix that is allocated to JPMorgan Chase. Thus they think it it is a legit US creditcard subcription even though it is only a pay as you go Paypal account convenience card.. It is the only work around that is 100% and everyone I know who has used it has zero problems subscribing. YaY!

Showcase was one of the handful of essential channels on my minimum requirement list when I was pricing around for a cheaper satellite package or cable switch.
Love it.
