lol I have a feeling that this thread has become like certain other threads by certain awful people that cause most posters to become angry when they see new posts in Clubs only to find this <3 <3 <3. Anyway,

20. Wild Honey Pie

An unlikely run for the gold ends in tragedy for Wild Honey Pie. Seriously, everyone I know fucking hates this song so much, but I think it's laffos pretty much. I guess I could see someone hating it if it was on any other album, but everything about the White Album is random and bizarre (even by Beatles standards at the time), and I think this fits in perfectly. You've got bouncy springy noises, you've got out-of-tune Paul, you've got a fun minute.

Okay, it's now moving into physical pain territory for me to rank any of these below the others...

Everything in this song sounds so delicious <3

17. Julia

Fo sheriously, the fact that this song isn't even in the top half is ridiculous. Haunting and beautiful, but I honestly just don't listen to it as much as the others coming up, sry. And John, please stop namedropping (well, not technically) Yoko in songs about your dead mother, thx.

16. I'm So Tired

Finishing off the bottom half of the album is Lennon's ode to being tired. I love the way the music works with his vocal, being sluggish when he is and building perfectly with his voice. Also, I love when he screams "I'M GOING INSANE!" (the 2nd time), you can tell he actually means it <3 <3 <3.

Well, since I'm wrong anyway, I'll reveal which songs I thought you skipped (not counting USSR, which you said something about skipping before or something):

Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da........just because a lot of people hate it and you seem like you'd be one of them

Revolution 1........this was sort of my out of the blue guess, and my only reasoning behind it is that I think the single version is vastly superior to the album version (even though I personally love both), so I thought maybe if you felt the same way you'd skip this one. It was just a totally shot in the dark guess that's probably retarded

15. Yer Blues

Super solid blues/blues parody/whatever. I <3 the ultra dark lyrics and the awesome guitar solo.

13. Sexy Sadie

As this song stands, there's nothing wrong with it and it's great. But I've always had the slightest disappointment over Lennon pussing out over it. I mean, had he kept the "Maharishi" title and all the cursing, it could have been the most epic song ever. You've already put Revolution 9 on the album, why not just go ahead and call the Maharishi a twat/cunt/fuck? Laffos. Like I said, still a great song no doubt, but it loses at least six or seven spaces over this.

Tears?

I'm not big on subtlety dontchaknow, especially when it comes to the possibility of calling highly respected holy leaders cunts on pop albums ^_^

11. While My Guitar Gently Weeps

This is troubling to me, because on the one hand I do love this song. But I hadn't heard the album version in a while, and it really is one of the few Beatles songs ever that I consider way overproduced. I mean, for one thing, this isn't a rock song, no matter how many E Clap solos you shoehorn in here. It just doesn't work for me. The version on Anthology 3 (and especially the fantastic version of the song on Love) are much, much better and more true to how I think it was originally supposed to be. The Love version is what I have on my iPod and I had actually forgotten that I had swapped them. It would prolly end up around #5 or so on this list as opposed to the album version yw.
