Hi, Cheyenie!
Felicia - It's just the swine flu. Nothing to worry about. J/K. I got sick on Friday evening and it gradually got worse. I actually stayed home from work today. |

I've been lucky. I usually get a horrible cold every summer and it didn't happen last summer (or even in the fall/winter) and I've been good so far
this summer.
Now that I've said that, I'll end up with an evil case of bronchitis or somethin'. |

Hey Aslans!! I thought of you yesterday. I was shopping and saw a license plate that said "ASLANS8."
Felicia, how could you tempt fate like that? Although some would say if you were destined to be sick then you have no chance to prevent it. |

So anyway, I have one of the extras from Lost on my myspace now. He's pimping an apparel line and instrumental music that he's hoping to make into a movie. He said several of the other extras were working on this project, too. (Wouldn't you effin' know even HE doesn't know Scott died first.. we had to chat about that a bit) Anyway, his character name is Craig. He was mentioned by name in SOS. Your name never confused me aslans, but I grew up reading C.S. Lewis. It was one of the book lines that I enjoyed that my church didn't condemn.

Well, I knew it was Aslan the lion from C.S. Lewis; I just didn't catch the "cubs" part. But, I don't pay that much attention to screen
names. I just thought she like the lion and she worked in scrubs. Sorry, it was a "blond moment" for me.

It's ok. A few people have mistaken the "L" for an "I" and called me Asianscubs.
 I'm just glad you guys got part of the
reference. I love C.S. Lewis. Interestingly enough, the Lost writers must, too, as that's Charlotte's name/initials.

I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't been on in awhile.
I got roped into Facebook by my sister-- it's the only way she'll visit with me. she's an addict. Aslans- hope you're over that nasty virus! I've had a bit of excitement over the weekend. My 15 year old son was staying the night at his friend's house. turns out that 3 other guys did too, and they decided to go to yet another friend's house at 3 in the morning. This was stupid for so many reasons, one of which is that there is an 11pm curfew. Another is that there are gangs in our city. Also, Sam knows he's not to be out in the middle of the night! Well, I get woke up at 3am or so only to find Sam and all his friends on the porch. Sam is holding his hand, which is swollen to about 3 times it's normal size. While I'm getting ready to take him to the closest ER, he tells me that they were attacked by two cars full of what they think are Mexican gang members. Sam is the only white boy among his friends, and (according to Sam) the Mexican gangs have it out for anyone non white--especially African Americans(which Sam's friends mostly are). Anyway, the cars come screeching to a halt and the +%#!* are yelling, "get on your knees" and "you're about to die" to the kids. So, they are on the school grounds at this time, so they dash in all directions. Sam dashed between the buildings. They boys ended up at two different houses (not mine, which was closest). Then, they all came to my house because Sam's hand was hurt. He hit it somehow in the whole melee. It turns out to have a compound fracture in the bone that connects his pinky to the hand on his right hand. so... he has to see a surgeon on Wed. Thankfully, I got him some insurance awhile back. Otherwise, this would be even more horrifying. As it is, it's not a tragic injury, so far. They gave him vicodan for the pain, and he hasn't even taken any today. whew. He is grounded. Did I mention that? |

OH, just remembered something kinda cute. On the way to the hospital for surgery (we had to go to the hospital in a town 20 miles away for some unknown reason...) we were on the freeway, and Sam suddenly says, "HEY, that guy looked like Eyeliner Guy from LOST!" so, I'm trying to keep it between the white lines while straining to see this potentially hunky driver. lol Never did spot him though. I thought it was funny that Sam called him Eyeliner Guy when he KNOWS his name is Richard Alpert. |

I'm fine now, Tigeranne. I am taking care of my husband now that I gave him what I had. Ugh. Men can be such babies when they're sick. I hope he
gets over this very soon.
On another note, I'm officially addicted to Farm Town on Facebook. I should probably look you up and send you a friend/neighbor request.

Somehow, I managed to not get sick last week. An icky stomach bug worked its way through much of my family. Started with my baby nephew, then it was my younger sister and 3 year old niece, then it was my 7 year old niece and 9 year old nephew, and then my older sister. I tried to spend the majority of my inside time shut in my bedroom, lol. |

Hey everyone... hope you are all well! I have to agree with Felicia... Facebook annoys me, I have it because I have some friends and family in the states
who just refuse to use myspace and vise versa... it is what it is. Anyway, I can't wait for LOST to start back up. I got my husband hooked now too!
