I've decided to fill some of my time during the hiatus by watching Twin Peaks. I got the complete series on DVD from the library. I'm about halfway
through right now. I just watched the episode in which Laura's father dies. I'm not quite sure what to make of this show. I can see why it has a
cult following. It's cetainly unusual. It kind of has a "B movie" quality to it.

Cheyenie, season one of Twin Peaks was GREAT. "Unusual" is an understatement. 
I was a true Peaks Freak, subscribed to Wrapped in Plastic, had Laura Palmer's diary, etc. Season two bombed. :-/ You should get Fire Walk With Me, too. It's the prequel to TP - the last seven days in Laura Palmer's life. That flick freaked me out. |

S2 had some great stuff (Windom Earl was gold) and the ending was brilliant but there was definitely some huge weaknesses.

The host was annoying as FUCK! And I didn't really care about the video game stuff. But otherwise it was nice to get a little bit of something about Lost.
Though it kinda arose my appetite for Lost, so that could be a bad thing

I loved Twin Peaks too (I have Laura Palmer's Diary) I was actually frantically trying to figure out who her killer was from all the intials listed in her
diary. The funny thing is, I can't remember who it was.

I finished Twin Peaks. I have to say I'm a little disappointed. The soap opera stuff got old fast. I didn't care about Shelly and Bobby taking care
of vegatable Leo. Those scenes were boring. I also thought the storyline with James being framed for murder was stupid. The ending was alright, but I
thought it could have been better. Cooper running around the Black Lodge was a little lacking to me. It doesn't even seem like a real ending since Cooper
was seeing Bob in the mirror. There was certainly more story to tell. I came across something online about a rumor that one of the actors refused to do a
storyline during the second season. Does anyone know who it was?

MacLachlan refused to do a Cooper/Audrey romance. Hence Annie & John Justice Wheeler.

Thanks CP. I'm kind of glad that MacLachlan refused to do that storyline. It would have seemed completely out of character for Cooper to get involved
with Audrey. I'm guessing that wasn't very good for his career, but he seems to be doing alright now.

But the ending would have been soooooooooooooooo much better. How awesome would the stakes have been had Audrey been in danger instead of Annie?

I'll be seeing Sisterhood 2. Umm Audrey was way too young for Cooper, but I really didn't care about Annie that much. Cheyenie I agree some parts of the storyline were blah. LJ - Did you mean you can't remember who killed Laura? It was her father/Bob. wowbobwow |
