Ummm, it's more or less dog instinct to fight back if attacked. You can't take your dog to the park if it doesn't sit there and take being attacked
by two dogs? You're retarded.

If the yorkies had wanted to play, she would have played with them. She LOVES to play, and does so successfully with most dogs, both at the park and elsewhere.
They didn't. They wanted to fight with her. If some other dog attacks her, she doesn't submit. She fights back, but she never INSTIGATES.
A yorkie, or two, can not do as much harm as a pitbull or a pitbull mix. And it's precisely because she's capable of doing so much damage that I'm so vigilant... With my other dogs, I let them off leash. With her, I keep her under my direct control so if something starts to escalate (which has happened, I think, twice in all the times I've taken her to a park), I'm there to break it up before any harm is done.

I dunno, I just felt throughout that whole episode there was something not quite right about the vibe between Lori and almost all of the other houseguests. I also thought the editing in general, but especially in her scenes, was kinda sketchy for some reason. |

Agreed. It was like being sent to the doghouse made her snap and turned her into a totally different person.

I'm keepin' the faith, Laurie. You had your coming out party in a big way this episode and I ain't mad atcha.
When can you tell us what went on behind the scenes, if ever? On an unrelated note, the Travis baby talk is disturbing. |

^Why is it disturbing. I use baby talk with my dog all the time. He responds very well with it because even at 9 years old my dog is still puppyish, which is
typical of many boxers.

Just started watching this last week on my mom's suggestion. I, too, thought it would be a bomb so didn't want to waste my time. But it was very
enjoyable and it is now on my DVR as a Season Pass.
And I am AMAZED at all the boxer owners here! We have two and I'll never own another breed! In fact, I'm ready to get another. We have a white female, age 7, named Mystic, a flash fawn male, age 3 1/2, named Joe, and now I want a brindle female. Here are ours:
And here is Joe the day we brought him home:
They really are the best dogs! And I've owned a lot of breeds: Dachsunds, Poodles, Chows, Labs, Retrievers, Setters, Dalmations, Char Peis, and mutts, although I'm sure I've missed a breed somewhere along the line in my 50 years. Boxers are friendly, yet protective, bright, yet complete idiots, playful, loyal, and such good looking dogs! |

Careful, meme, they're like pistachio nuts! You can't have just one!
Yeah, Drew, he was a cutie as a pup. And some may call it cruel, but to me, a Boxer looks so much better with the cropped ears. We have it done at the same time we have them neutered so all the surgery is at once. The vet we use for the ears is really good at it. He cuts freehand and uses no bars, props, or anything else to get them to stay up. He just stitches them and then, when they're home, we just (on his instruction) very gently stroke them up, getting them to stand on their own. A couple weeks later the stitches come out and all is well. Yep, just about ready for that third one... |

Does the vet put them to sleep when he crops their ears?
My schnauzer has cropped ears and it was done before she came to me, but I always wonder what it is like for the poor pooches to be cut that way. Her tail too! |

When did the blonde girl with the juicy ass turn into such a psycho?
Tillman's picture was ok, but that's one of those that you almost have it too easy to where you can't avoid the predictably criticism. They also overreacted to the snarl bands. That is by no means painful to the dog, if anything it's annoying. What else was she suppose to do to get him to look angry? Kick him? |
