Hippowdon <33333. I actually raised one high enough to learn Fissure and it was killer against Cynthia and her Spiritomb (who has no weakness).

Chikorita was actually my favorite grass starter o_O probably my favorite starter evah. <3
With the exception of the fourth gen, I think the grass starters have been the best each time out of the three starters. Chikorita doesn't get the powders like Bulbasaur but razorleaf/synthesis = <3 |

SurvivorFanGP wrote:I hated Chikorita... she wasn't that good. Sorry but it's true. I actually think that Turtwig is the best grass starter of all time. I find it very useful in DP. It's one of the rare decent grass type pokemon you can get... and you don't really need fire at all so it's out of the running. |

Agreed, fire was always out of the running IMO and with water, there were already awesome pokemon like Lapras/Starmie/Milotic that could fill the water
role. So it always left grass for me. Except for Torchic, I thought he was awesome for a fire pokemon.

I love all the Pokes that were ranked =o. I think this is the first time I actually liked all the ten Pokes posted.
=o. COME ON TOP 30. |

Grotle's not ground. Monferno is the only 1st evolution to gain a secondary type (fighting... again) It's Empoleon and Torterra that are Steel and
Ground, respectively.

30. Starly (Flying/Normal) It's a cute little bird, but cute little birds aren't exactly unique after four generations. I mean, aside from Hoothoot and Noctowl, there's never really been a really recognizable bird, aside from maybe some of the freakier looking ones like ostriches and parrots. Starly is nothing special, but it's cute, so it gets into the top 30.
29. Drifblim (Flying/Ghost) I love the Flying/Ghost typing, even though it's really not all that different in terms of any specific weaknesses. Drifblim is unique for a Ghost-type, because it's not a typical Ghost. I mean, how many ghost balloons would you think people have seen in their lives. It's also on the Fire Elite 4, mainly because of the complete lack of Fire-types in the game. It's not that bad of a Pokemon when you're fighting it, but I've never trained one personally.
28. Chatot (Flying/Normal) Speaking of parrots, now we bring up a relatively unique Pokemon in Chatot. It's not really all that special in terms of design or typing, but it does get a move all to itself, "Babble". Basically, Babble gives you the opportunity to babble incoherently into your DS, and that's what sound Chatot will make when it uses the attack. Cool, huh?
27. Darkrai (Dark) Real original name for this one. It's a Dark-type, so let's call it DARKrai! Great job namers. Darkrai is pretty strong, actually, but it's another one of those Pokemon that you can only get by either cheating or going to Japan. Not worth it. No strength is worth that. Its nightmare ability is good enough to get it to the top 30, but not into the top 25.
26. Turtwig (Grass) And once again, the Grass starter is the first starter fully eliminated (okay, so it only happened once before, so what?). We didn't need ANOTHER turtle Pokemon. We already had Squirtle. We didn't need you to make a slow Grass starter turtle that becomes doubly weak to Ice when it evolves. It's cute enough to make 26th, but not enough to break into the top 25.
25. Luxio (Electric) See what I said about Shinx. How the hell is this thing not partially Dark-typed? It's a cute Pokemon, even though it has a high attack stat which is useless, given that the most physical electric attack it gerts is Spark. Really should've been Dark to get a STAB on Crunch and the like. Other than that, Luxio's a middle form, so there's not much else to say.
24. Monferno (Fire/Fighting) We already did this typing LAST generation with a much more kickass Pokemon. Well...not necessarily MUCH more, but chickens are greater than monkeys. Monferno is actually not fugly as hell like most middle forms are, and it's a fiotting transition from hideous Chimchar to badass Infernape.
23. Rhyperior (Rock/Ground) This thing just LOOKS like a fucking tank, and that's intimidating as hell. Still, did we REALLY need a Rhydon evolution three generations after its creation? Rhyperior fits into that category once more of Pokemon that seem to have been created solely as filler for this generation. It's already difficult to catch a Rhyhorn and to evolve it to Rhydon, but making a third form that's even more difficult to get is just wrong, no matter its strength.
22. Rotom (Electric/Ghost) Rotom has to be probably the best idea the creators had for this generation in terms of special, one-time Pokemon. It's a great method of capture, because you have to go to a haunted mansion, inhabited by Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar, and from there, you must find a HAUNTED TV SET. From there, you may choose to travel through the Shrine of the Silver Monkey! And finally, you will find the Rotom that you seek. The choice is yours and yours alone. But yeah, Electric/Ghost is badass. GG creators, you made up for naming Darkrai.
21. Magnezone (Electric/Steel) Basically, Magenton was pretty powerful in RSE and was used as a counter for Skarmory in competitive battles. Then, the creators decided to vamp up this Pokemon and granted, made Magneton look a ton more badass when it evolved, like a flying saucer. It's a cool design, but once again, the new evolutions just bother me with the amount of unnecessary time that needs to be spent in order to evolve it. |

I've trained a Drifblim, it's fucking killer with the stockpile attacks it learns. Very useful especially against Lucian.
Rotom is badass. I've trained on to Lv. 74. Electric really does need more duo typings. It's only had a few. Also Rotom spelt backwards is Motor :) Nothing much else to say but they could've made Darkrai 1000 times more bad ass had they actually spent time in making it and developing a good story with it. (I mean, I know it ties in with Cresselia but they could've done something epic with that). |

What is UP with the warp speed updates? Drifblim looks like a giant zit that's about to explode, alol. Starly >>> Pidgey in just about every way possible. |

Buneary is so hilarious in the anime. Her lust for Pikachu when Pikachu is obv. lusting for Ash. It's like a soap.

I'll always find Human/Pokemon lust stories creepy... and anthros, too. What's wrong with keeping it an innocent children's game? Arbok, 279 episodesSeviper (currently) 277 episodes As of the 25th of September (the next Japanese double episode), Seviper will equal Arbok as Jessie's longest lasting Snake Pokemon And random FYI. Until the 3rd episode of DP, the longest lasting Pokemon (besides Meowth and Pikachu) was actually Brock's Forretress. Lasting for most of Johto, and the entire Hoenn/Kanto trip for a grand total of 322 episodes. Wobbuffet was traded to Jessie 3 episodes after Pineco was caught, and after Brock left Forretress at home at the end of Battle Frontier, Wobbuffet quickly overtook Forretress for longest lasting Pokemon.
