Here, Craig helped out $1,000 at a time. A perfect opportunity for the Mole to look helpful, but with little payoff. Given how late he showed up, they'd probably already gotten most of the money they earned anyway.

And cycle makes a great point about the Taxi. Not only would Craig get the Exemption, he'd cost them $5,000, all while looking like he was trying to help by volunteering to go slow up the hill.

Of course, any real player would fight to get an Exemption, so the notion that Craig was volunteering to give up the Exemption would and should be suspicious to the players. The Mole doesn't need Exemption.
