And in the infamous gnome-breaking task, I believe Bill was pretty blatantly called out on that, as well. If the formula was as simple as "The Mole is the one person who isn't suspected for anything," I don't think we would have been as captivated as we were in the first couple seasons.

I'm already convinced he is the Mole and this just screamed bad acting to me, and I still think it sounds like he's suppressing an Australian/New Zealand accent. Maybe the Kiwi was a clue? Um, I think he was just joking around with that, so of course it was bad acting. As for the accent, I haven't noticed anything like that, and the fact that his Spanish is so fluent seems to suggest he's not an Aussie.

Posts: 60 (06/19/08 11:15 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	This just came to me - I think all this time the ep1/magazine clue "I lie with my eyes" actually points to Mark...and here's why: "To lie" means you are actually doing an action. The person in the sentence is using their eyes to perpetrate some kind of lie. And a "lie" is defined in the dictionary as - "a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood." This has been the critical error on all these theories of what this "clue" means. None of them include a person actually using their eyes to lie. Sure they are wearing glasses or some such but that doesn't mean their eyes are the main instrument of lying. There is only one instance in ep1 of a person using their eyes to do something (besides seeing) that could actually be used in the dictionary definition of what lying is...Mark. He uses his eyes to shed teardrops during a fake story about his family. The teardrops were a major factor in convincing people he's not the Mole but is, instead, a loving husband who's willing to do anything to help out his poor wife. And they were also a masterful stroke of falsehood; a lie! The magazine clue is meant for the viewers to see and therefore Mark's confessional was also meant as the companion to this clue intended for the viewers. While this will be a hard pill...er, clue... to swallow for many of you...it's NOT a lie. (edit: I just discovered Molefan18 on the ABC boards had a post on June 4th that raised the possibility of Mark's crying as being the answer to the Magazine clue. Good job, Molefan! In the bottom corner, there was a handprint that you could rub that concealed the secret message - "I lie with my eyes." For the last three weeks there has been a lot of speculation but no consensus about what the clue meant. Many people thought it points to Craig because he wears glasses, or Liz because she has a "crazy" look in her eye, or a whole slew of wild theories. Everyone else has just 1 eye. I still think it's Mark for the umpteen other reasons to-date, including the bald-faced family lie and fake crying.
